Was the old mouthpiece worn down over use (besides the different reamer contact points)? Do all mouthpieces (with normal use, beside changes in the player's age, etc.) change over the years?
The shank had some damage and was wearing very inconsistently. The piece was over 20 years old and was also wobbling in the receiver which always slows down response.
The trombone on the CD case gives me anxiety!!!
It’s not on the case, it’s on a proper trombone stand with a chrome finish. Need to look carefully.
