The average amount of gnarl and sendiness in men ski was absolutely ridiculous. Full thrust and risk in so many runs, even though some did not manage to stomp it unfortunately. But I feel compared to snowboard, the ski men were way ahead.
Skiiers do go harder. Im a snowboarder. Think much of it is the two edges vs 1 & turn shape being more down the fall line(skis) vs across on boards. A board 360 & a backflip wins on board (so to say) yet skiiers rip backs & 360s just to place.
@@m1cklife168 That might be one reason, the other is surly a number game. The amount of people skiing is way higher, thus the probability of talented skiers emerging is also lot higher.
Men's snowboard ( 4:48 ): Compared to Holden's and Timm's runs I think Victor De Le Rue should have been 3rd. As a viewer I was way more impressed with their approach, air, style and the risk they took in the first competition of the season.
A case could be made for samuel but tim really stopped mid run loosing points there. Victor was scored high due to the originality of his line compared to the others who all went on similar features. Overall i agree with the judges but also get your point if you are refering to airs and tricks.
This extended highlights videos are dooooooope
Glad you like them!

They should add a mini award for fastest time top to bottom. Similar to F1 fastest lap.
I don't think there's any denying this, some insane sends in the highlights. The men ski part itself is 40% of this video, says enough.

Why didn't they start from the peak of the Bec de Ross?
Time stamps would be dope.
Do not watch while pooping. Too much pucker factor watching the men's ski
Speaking from experience it seems
