Such a cool song, I really like the Japanese lyrics a lot. This is the only performance, I believe, where Kyo actually vocalizes the part between 2:29 and 2:47. [Edit: no, there are indeed more performances!] Thanks to Creature for drawing my attention to it and to Phidias and 三 for requesting the song! The performance can be found on the Tour2011 Age Quod Agis Vol.2 [U.S. & Japan] DVD.

Annotations:
"Burn the compassion with the national anthem" - "With" in this case not as in "together [with]", but as in "through", "by". Like "light the candle 'with' matches".
"Gathering and devouring on the other side of tranquility - What color is that skin?" - In Japanese, this is one sentence, and I hope to make clear that "skin" refers to the line before by making it "that skin". Now, you could theoretically read it as either the skin being what is devoured, or what is devouring.
"Picking" - I left this as the single line that it is in the original, since it is literally the English "picking" in katakana. Therefore just like in English, it can refer to any "picking", like that of a guitar for example, or the picking of goods.
Also, the shouty parts in English that I subbed as "Insanity" and "To desire" are not included in the lyrics or even the band score, so they're unofficial and unconfirmed. I saw them discussed by Japanese fans and I agree it really does sound like that, so I decided to include them in the subs.
