- I only recently got the Volca Beats, Bass and Keys.. then I saw a second hand Sample for sale as well and decided to get it. I'm glad I did, as this this is a whole lot of fun.
I've only had it for a few hours and created this techno track from scratch. I'm keen to delve a little deeper and see what this unit can do. If you'd like to see what else I bump into the studio, hit the subscribe button.
check out another Korg Volca techno jam by myself: • Korg Volca Sample - Te...
please subscribe to my channel if you want to see some more videos like this. I would appreciate it ☺
please check out my soundcloud for my music: / burrows
i liked it, but when you hit the air horn break in the middle i loved it
My wallet refuses to believe this track is done using only Volca Sample.
Just found this video and I'm 6 years late, but yeah, this korg is powerful cuz you can upload any samples you want
This video probably sell more Volca Sample than the official video from korg :)
Seems like you could do a whole Boiler Room set with just this thing.
Lol
its actualy possible
You may have issues with loading samples ;)
@@kaibe5241 use the same samples, not that anyone would notice
@@kaibe5241 maybe not with on ebut with like idk 3?
The quality of this thing sounds insane for the price.
It the cheapest Volca - but the most versatile. It's freaky good...
Very impressive. Korg needs to hire you to promote their products. Very cool video. Keep up the great work.
Everything so good, but the horn... Unnecessary and unfitting in my opinion. Could have just done something with that synth pattern you had going instead, but great simple track!
Korg Volca Sample would be great/greater (or usable for me) if it had SD-card access for saving a lot of projects and loading samples; sometimes limitations lead to
different approaches and results... but in this case it´s a p.i.t.a. (my opinion)
btw. I like your creation;)
The new version has USB, so loading is easier. But I like the SD card idea.
@@OregonDARRYL hehe, I got the new one now, but still you need a special application to be able to communicating with the Volca with USB
...it is still a step forward :D
4 years and that track is f*cking rad !
wow its nice music dude....the sounds / samples (bass, drum, hihat etc) its already in the volca or u need to upload/insert before playing.???
+Arobz Miqdam yes everything here is in the Volca already
oke thanks.....
So if i get it, this track uses the default factory samples? Is that so?
@@Audiojorge I think so m8
Yeah i got one at home the only downfall is the size and the internal speaker but who uses that anyways. Its pretty amazing what this little box can do especially for the price point
Great video! I'm hooked. I've probably watched every tutorial and review on the Sample vs the Beats and I'm convinced. This is what I'm getting and a perfect example of how I'll use it. This Sample is the shit!
I wrote a whole damn song while listening to this. I just forgot to write it down. Thanks man!
Very good performance!! Are those the internal samples ?
yep, all stock samples
Just picked up one of these to add to my tb-03 & tr-8!! Techno. Acieeeeeeed
did you master this at all or are we hearing the raw mix from the volca?
Great video! Video like this Korg need to use to sell there product.. Not those cheesy sound in those video.
thanks :). maybe they can contact me
wow that thing is amazing you could do a full set with it :D
DjJibi he should
Well done, you really know your stuff this
Masterful! Very cool session!
Random gems during quarantine LOL
Yas!!!
This is giving me some warm fuzzy flashbacks to the early 2000's. Thank you !
Sounds great mate. I think you've just made me want to buy it.
ka
The airhorn was shite but the beat is banging
I fucked with it until the airhorns :/
This started off a little slow for me but I really got into it. Thanks !! Well done. Subscriber.
Wow, this thing sounds a lot better than I was expecting. As everyone here says, the Korg demos don't show what it can do. Nice work.
IM REALLY enjoying this Jam !!! nice stuff
Muchas gracias por su video.lo amo.yo que por reyes aquí en 🇪🇸 me regale un volca hace cuatro días gracias a este video tengo más idea de cómo sacarme buenos e interesantes ritmos.GRACIAS!!!!!!!
Very nice! Except the Ragga Tone horn is not necessary...
where you can download this track ?
Cool man, looks like a lot of fun. 👍🏻😎
It's a Korg. I'm not surprised at just how magnificent it is.
Terrific video! I love that you did it with only one Volca unit too!
And if you're going to have only one Volca... this is the one!
Hi man, complete noob here.
I'm gona have a lot of free time on my hands the next few months and I wana start producing with my time.
Just got a copy of Logic pro to start, can I link these and record the output from the korg?
Is there anything else you could recommend for someone starting out?
I'm looking at an akai mpk mini aswell.
Thanks again for any advice you can throw my way.
good idea to spend time making music :). yes, you can have a cord going from the output of the Korg Volca to the input of your soundcard. Akai MPK Mini is also good as a small keyboard to control your softsynths. I think between the drum machine and Logic's synths you will have a lot of fun. just remember to get a soundcard if you haven't already, as it'll allow you to plug the Volca into it.
just picked this and the volca beats on ebay for £100 :D

So awesome! Dig your shit man!
Where did you learn't to use your korg stuff?
я как любитель минимал,скажу,что все-таки скучновато!
Can it play , without daw?
Yes, I never used the DAW for this other than to record the audio
Que buen vídeo amigo aprendí mucho contigo y quiero demostrártelo aquí: ua-cam.com/video/idg7ir6jTnM/v-deo.html
Carefully tapping and twiddling out a rocking techno jam on that little thing. Can you use your own samples on it too?
yes, you can load your own samples on it.. but I haven't done this yet. I hear it's a bit of a pain (not as simple as drag and drop). however, the samples that come stock on it are pretty damn fun. this video was made with all stock sounds.
Nicely planned setup.
Love 💘 jamming with VOLCAS...
💛💛💛❤❤❤💚💚💚💚✌✌✌✌🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
nice dude thats mint, are those external samples or come with the V sample?
thanks - all stock samples
thats fucking ace! gonna have to update my xmas wishlist haha xD
WE NEED MORE ELECTRONIC MUSICIANS AND LESS FUCKING DJ`S
Whoaa man, nice jam, greetings from México
Awesome track dude, you got an audio export of this? would love to play it live :P
Dislike-sorry... Шо нибудь...
You made a good track with a $150 gear, good job bro
Inspiring Jam!!!! Thanks For The Video 👍🔊
Can a 7/8 beat be created on this machine?
Extraordinaire Magnifique magique son 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🎧
Bravo 👏👌
if you enjoyed this video and can spare a click, subscribing to the channel would be greatly appreciated :). also, here is another Korg Volca Sample video I did: ua-cam.com/video/4wstG8NjV6U/v-deo.html
Hi man, nice job! Where can I find the samples you've used?
@@fabiuzzo98pozzo just saw this sorry.. all samples are stock in the Volca Sample
Subscribed.
Why you need tons of music equipment if you have this little magic box)))))on tablet batteries I guess))))crap
they had to manufacture a volume much bigger than the one to facilitate the speed of its use with other equipments. with a controller dj for example
I bought a volca from a men for 80 euro instead of the 140 euro and it's the best music things I bought since a long time
Even after the influx of Behringer clones Korg are still the best, and always have been in my honest opinion. Got the Volca Keys, FM and Kick, the latter I wanna supplement with the Sample (already ordered) and make them a two-module drum machine (they both can obviously do a lot more). The whole lot synced from my Monologue! Can't wait!!!!!
I have a question,I wanna buy the same but how much time should I spend for learning something?
Ni un brillo malo fome
man, it sounds really really nice and inspiring, thx! and what a hihat! ))
Horn sucks! Everything else is awesome!
Is it possible to connect a synthesizer to a sampler?
not quite. you would need to record the synthesizer as audio and then upload the audio onto the sampler to play it. so you can't connect it directly, unfortunately. some other samplers have a capability to record directly into it, but not the Volca Sample
www.retrokits.com/shop/rk002
that should do the trick
Wow man! Congrats! That fucking sounds
WICKED an ting! love this jam
You could make an entire song with this thing if you wanted to
I kinda did...!
Fuck yeah
You did this in a couple of hours? Wtf lol??? Im guessing u had other similar systems before tho
yes I'd used some Volcas before having the Sample. it's a great machine for the price, though!
@@intheburrows ah okay phew. Yeah I agree all the others are so expansive compared to the korgs. I haven't used them so idk how much better tjey are but these are good enough for me atm
Loved it! . I just ordered one! TY! :D
Very good Jam. i shows whats possible with it. Thanks .
Phantastisch! Könnt ich den ganzen Tag hören. Gibt es eine Fortsetzung in diesem Stil? Cheers & Happy Easter, Chris
hey you don't get any background noise? I didn't hear any at the beginning. Did you reduce it after recording or you just don't get it? I get some all the time
hm, I'm not sure to be honest. I will have to check again... but it could be your audio cable or soundcard. do you have it running off batteries or plugged into the wall?
it's running off batteries.
Can you load samples into it? Like instead of using stock samples can I load my own drum kit
yes you can, I have never done it though. I believe you do it via the MIDI cable. there are some limitations though, I believe
@@intheburrows thanks
Sick jam 🤘 you did so much with just the one Volca , sheeeesh
Where i can get one of this
How are you amplifying this?
Это Супер - Спасибо за Правильность Игры!
I'm still thinking about buying volca sample myself. Looks fun and easy to play around, which in my case, is the main buying trigger.
yep! you should pick it up in no time 😊
Great work!!!
yes. as @NJT said below... after the air horn.....blam! This is a brilliant demo of the Volca Sample.... absolutely inspired now
awesome, glad you enjoyed!
Love this. I just ordered one yesterday! :D
Only 130 bucks to get this... It's so much powerful, you can jam everywhere
yep, and it's battery powered. really good fun for a small price
People nowadays think that a kick n hi hat equals techno
it is samples stock or your samples imported ?
all samples are stock in this video
5:48 nice!
sicko bro, thanks
Amazin!
Can I ask.........
How many patterns can you record on a Volca Sample? From what I am reading it's 16 maximum. If this is the case, why I ask did Korg not allow for more? I'd run out of room with just 16 patterns - often need lots more!
Thanks.
I guess if you want more you can get an Electribe. this is just a fun toy - good value for the price
Boring. It is a pity to give money for these.
well at least you only lost a few minutes of your time!
Really cool !!
boiler room alert
it has speakers or you need equipment, does it work with airbuds? What device do you have it connected to?
it does have some inbuilt speakers but they are a bit crappy. you could use any pair of headphones/earbuds with a 3.5mm audio jack. I connected it to my soundcard with that same jack to a 1/4" jack into the soundcard.
@@intheburrows thank you so much man, one final question ive got is, it's possible if i want to do live concerts with this? I mean if its possible to connect it with a monitor or something to play live and sound good
@@pg6917 yes that's no problem, just connect it the same way as you would to a soundcard (depending on the mixer)
Через какую аудиокарту вы записали свой джем?
OK I need this
Schöne Musik ich habe auch einen UA-cam Kanal ich heiße Synth Prank Bautess
what... you certainly have some talent!
Cette appareil est il branché à une autre petit machine ou seulement à un ordinateur
it's only one chord or you can add more?
yes you can add your own samples to this, too
hey bro good jam
