Jon's voice is so wonderful and unique, instantly recognisable, Yes isn't Yes without it. His new song Shine On sounds more like Yes than the current 'Yes' does
Jon is one of my heroes because of his musicianship, unique voice , being a driving force of Yes and his obvious spirituality. And YOU are a great interviewer to get Jon to be so open and unusually focused in his responses
I'd listen to four hours of Jon Anderson anytime! His voice and words were always there at the right times, opening vistas and being the soundtrack for many, may I say, wondrous stories. Shaped many aspects of my life and I shall never be able to repay him.
Olias of Sunhillow is an extraordinary and sublime album. It's hard to credit that music so original, varied, colourful, imaginative, epic, moving and uplifting sprang from one man's brain. I wonder if we will ever hear Zamran. Please finish and release it, Jon, if you have the inspiration and the inclination.
Saw Jon last night in Denver! Still looks and sounds the same. Band geeks plays Yes the way it's supposed to be. He even danced with his wife during Roundabout. See him while you can!
Anserson was always a positive force, I wish I had a 10th of his optimism. Also, I always considered Jon the top dog at Yes. I don't know who had the authority to fire him
@@WintersWar Allegedly, around 2010, the band were having talks with him about coming back. Under the management of his wife, negotiations were put forward, that he would come back for 50% of the profits. 😮 Understandably Chris Squire, told them to F..k Off!
CRAZY! He is the first person I think of in YES! I guess they'll be calling themselves "NO" !? Why cant these old Men just get along? Theyve created such Beauty together! OH WELL😢
During the time of the Yes hiatus from 2004 to 2008, Jon had already, been travelling the world with his wife doing solo shows, I saw him in Birmingham. I have always been lead, to believe that it caused him to, get very run down which lead to his demise in 2008.
@@marcbeckman If you look up J As tour dates, during that said period of time, you will see just how much he had traveled. Having seen , most of his interviews over the last few years, I believe his memory is not, what it once was. Bless him. 🥴
I had no idea the 10,000 Hands tour was a fiasco. I bought album and attended the Annapolis show and it was a great and enjoyable show. Whatever was happening behind the scenes didn’t impair the music at all. Also, when did “creative” become a noun? That grates to me.
Why can be many of the worlds greatest rock musicians of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s (and, in the case of Yes, also 1990s) so humnble, down to earth and regular folks (like, for example, Jon Anderson, David Gilmour etc.) while many of today's starlets who will be forgotten in 5, 10 or 15 years think of themselves so highly...
Jon is a Real Artists, all his contemporaries touring on 40 year old albums with one song are just in it for the money. I'd like to know what he thought of Drama.
Jon may have not been listening to what Yes wanted so they had no choice but to fire him. Yes seems very kind and dedicated so fans need to get the whole picture.
@@MetalMonkey-ev4jq i like steve howe also, the current yes band is a very poor tribute band,i own nothing of them, they should call it a day,its a bit like carl palmer in his current gigs he is still trying to recreate emerson lake and palmer with giant video screens of keith and greg, its very strange to say the least,i will say i did enjoy the RABIN,WAKEMAN and ANDERSON live cd a few years ago,or could we see ABWH for one last time
@@gonzofonso7572 Thanks for responding. Well said about this current lineup being more of a tribute band. The same with ELP, another of my fav prog rock band. No matter how one feels, kudos to Carl Palmer for virtually not having lost a step in his percussion. Amazing he's still going strong.
Jon is the voice of Yes
100 percent
There is no other......
Jon is blessed with an angelic voice and melody. To me even when he’s just speaking it sounds like music.
Jon has given me so much pleasure over the last 50 year with all his music especially yes 🙌

Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate.
I've listened to Jon's voice from his first album with Yes back in the day.

Jon has Wonderful musical vision
Thank's John for your singing to us so beautiful take care you spirit
Jon, you said Owner of a Lonely Heart and Roundabout. I have always loved Wondrous Stories.

Olias of Sunhillow is a sonic masterpiece, all performed by Jon and played on Vangelis gear
I’ve seen Jon without Yes and Yes without Jon. I enjoyed Jon without Yes more.
Jon's music always has hit me as inspired.

WOW! Jon is the best. Love his music so much - any chance to hear any insights he has is worth a listen/watch. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you!
Just saw Jon on Sunday with Carl Palmer ELP experience, awesome show.
Where were you?

Highlight of a great interview, thanks, Marc. We have two mutual friends - Jon, and Marni! Cheers!
Jon is such a light in the world!!
Thanks for being supportive. I appreciate. Send Marni my regards.
@@marcbeckman Will do!
Continued success to you~
You lit him up with that “2025 Tales” idea, I love it!
Yes without Anderson is a bit like Led Zeppelin wihout Plant.
Or the Stones without Mick Jagger. There really is no Yes without Jon Anderson.
Agreed, why they can't have the grace to stop already, and do something else under another name without Jon, instead of being a caricature of Yes
Stay healthy Jon. : )

jon rick steve chris and bill
Inspiring in a round’about way.
Saw Yes tickets on sale. Noticed JA wasn't on the ticket. Didn't bother to buy.
Agreed
Pretty wild that he now lives in my tiny hometown (since moved away 30 years ago).
4 hours of 2025 Tales! Please bring it!
A beautiful man
Got my ticket to see Jon and the Band Geeks in September.
Yes was Jon and chris
No Jon Anderson no Chris Squire-NO YES
Agreed
Steve Howe and some other guys. Yes in name only.
@@garykooienga9990 it's basically the Steve Howe band now 😔

creatives is a term that accountants use to describe artists
Hah.
How can you get fired from a band you co-founded?
From being impossible to work with
Has happened quite a lot down the years.
Ask Dennis DeYoung
Depois dos anos 70 os músicos do YES não fizeram NADA que se aproximasse dos grandes álbuns dos anos 70
Será que eram eles mesmo que compunham? 😮😅

Jon is like Rodney Dangerfield , he gets no respect, even Yes told him No!
