Ahh... what a great and perfect gift for you parents, Jenn. And how fortuitous you had the ideal frame on hand. I love the color of Riolis threads. They just pop. BTW, I couldn't see a mark at all. TFS!
Just stunning! What a fantastic gift! I bought a kit second hand from Stash Unload of a Red Fox! It has the wool thread leftovers, so I was going to try and match the colors to DMC! Should be interesting! Thanks for sharing! Awesome stitch!
Hey Jenn! I’ve never done a Riolis kit before and appreciate your review. Your finished stitch is BEAUTIFUL! And I will NEVER buy those rubbery Anchor hoops thanks to you!
It is soooo pretty! I bet they loved it. My grandparents always had a vase of “glads,” as they called them so I always think of them when I see them. I agree about all your thoughts on the Riolis kit. I made a mistake on the one I have started and I am still pondering what to do about because it will mean losing a lot of the thread. Thanks for the warning about the hoop. I was thinking of getting one. 😬
Thank you, and they do🙂. I wonder, could you sub the colour you are going to have to pull out, and maybe two or three other colours with regular floss to create some varying texture? I have a few Riolis kits that use both kinds, so it wouldn't be completely unheard of.
Oh no! I can't believe the hoop would betray you like that! However when you showed it I thought "isn't that a display hoop?" So maybe that's why they have the red paint there? Still I can't imagine your panic! I'm sure your parents love the piece, and imagine a garden full of those gorgeous, vibrant colours! What a wonderful memory
So very pretty! I couldn't see the "stain" at all. I can only imagine what my reaction would have been to the paint coming off on the fabric.....I'm sure there would have been colourful language hahaha. ~peace and love~
Gorgeous! Perfect frame. Thanks for sharing a review. I’m sure your parents were thrilled with such a lovely, thoughtful gift!
Thank you🙂

Thanks! Anchor Corp is not going to love me for that, but I have been buying a lot of their floss so maybe it will be ok🤣

I was pretty upset because it was right at the end! The hoop is for embroidering-it does not have a hanger attached. Something new-ish from Anchor.
@@JennsCraftyWorld oh no, that's even worse! After you'd done all that work 🙈
So very pretty!
