Sick of people knocking on Bauer but putting up with Scherzer, Greinke, Baumgartner, among others. The league is mad because he called them out and the players are mad because he got them caught. Bauer is a damn good pitcher that doesn’t do anything more outlandish than any other quirky pitcher; or athlete for that matter.
Trevor throwing the ball just over the centerfield wall (where no fan or player would get hit) was less of an egregious reaction to that frustrating inning than the common player expletive tirades (on national tv for kids to see) or bat bashing dugout walls/phones that so many players are prone to do when they get ejected. If a different ace/Cy Young award winner did that it wouldn’t get nearly the negative reaction. Trevor obviously hasn’t repeated that reaction. He probably was fined and that’s that…
i would have been pissed at that oufielder as well. i play outfield and the one thing i learned during day play is to always put ur shades on. no matter what.

If you really look at this, at first it may not seem like a big deal, but to lose control that much to where you throw the ball out of the playing field, it is a complete display of unprofessional behavior.
You’re also disrespecting your teammates, your manager, and even the other team. Bauer’s always been an immature PoS, that’s why the allegations against him were so easy to believe (admitting to having sex with an unconscious woman probably didn’t help his case either of course….)
I remember Dave Righetti also once threw the ball over the wall when being removed from the game. This was in the '90s. I don't remember what punishment he got.
Of all the fits thrown by players out of frustration I find it hilarious this one gets so much play. I understand the optics and all that. Still funny tho.
He just had a huge fit on the mound a few days ago in Japan because a routine play wasn’t made with 2outs and the bases got loaded. He was cussing on the mound while the manager tried to calm him down. He ended up getting out of the inning without any runs scored, but the Japanese fans loved his behavior for showing the fight and the will to win. I think more like 350 but still very impressive
more like 350, but still impressive.
Just subtract 60 feet from 450, it’s measured from home plate
Centerfield wall isn’t 450 feet from home plate to begin with. Centerfield wall is 410’ from home plate
If only he threw that towards the plate...
Whenever I see that clip of his teammate getting scared I always laugh hysterically
