I don’t care what anyone says this song always will make me cry I’m not from no small town but I truly feel my soul is I have 2 beautiful babies and I pray one day I’ll have my own home in a small town that my children can have when they grow up
I buried all of my childhood pets at my grandparents house because i knew they’d always live there and my pets would always be close. Unfortunately my grandparents had to move to assisted living and sell their house so now i feel that i’ve left my animals behind. Including my dog that i had most of my childhood that passed away just last year. You never know what will change in life
We had an old man in our church north of Atlanta who had 80 acres and he was offered over 1 million dollars in the 1990s! They said you can do whatever you want to do with that money and he said I already am doing what I want to do so no thanks!!😊
This song ALWAYS makes me cry.. never fails. Love Cody Johnson. If you haven't already heard it, you should check out his song called "Jesus Loves you"
Cody is amazing in concert. I went to his Dirt Tour concert. He came with Justin Moore. I will go back to him any time he ever comes through again. Solid pick for a live show.
Love this song, love Cody Johnson This song always makes me cry. Listen to it every morning to make me appreciate my land and property. God given, never going anywhere!
11 years ago we had to sell our family farm after estate issues mostly greed from family that didn’t want or have anything to do with the farm, can’t listen to this song without balling my eyes out when a piece of land is apart of your soul it can’t be bought and to have it torn from you just sucks
I love this song brings tears every time I hear it! My gpa has some land that I grew up on in the country and there’s no amount of money that we could ever sell it! Btw I’m in Tx! Y’all need to see COJO in concert! I’ve seen him 3 times and in November will be 4
The lyrics and the music video paint a story that the old man described in the song, reliving the memories, has dementia, and it's taking hold, but he still remembers those core memories because they were the most joyous parts of his life and they happened on that land. Those subdivision men mentioned in the song don't understand the situation that that man is going through, or what memories were ever made on that land.
Leaving our buried pets was the hardest part of leaving our childhood home and selling few yrs back. We wish we never did but at the time, we had no choice. 90k isn’t a dime for what it meant to me
my best friend still since the 3 grade is lives in plant city fl . when he moved there it was strawberry fields as far as the eye could see . now its all houses , so sad to see the farm land disappear... great video Burch and Alexis
You guys will be the outskirts of The Villages in 10 years if people don't start holding their land. The lakes in between are the last stronghold of the Central Florida that once was. Every year when I come to visit my sister I see wider expansion and development going in. It's crazy
Speaking of going to a concert.. he has a live album and you can find the songs on UA-cam.. his live versions are always so much more energetic! I highly recommend reacting to you one.. my favorite on the live album is “nothing on you “ and “Long haired country boy”

"Keep your money cuz a man can't leave his dog" gets me every dang time!
Me too
I was forced to leave my dog once. It's been almost 10 years and still brings a tear to my eye when I think about it.

Wonder what they'd offer for my 280 acers today. Could offer me the world and wouldn't sell a square foot.
@@shadowshot9897god I hope to be able to buy some land of my own one day before these developers take it all. Stand your ground don’t give in 🇺🇸❤️
I saw Cody Johnson a few years back when he opened for George Strait and he immediately became one of my favorites. He is outstanding.

Love this song especially about his dog being buried under the cross and he won’t leave him.

Cody Johnson recorded a song he said was the saddest song he's ever heard. "it's called I always wanted to" give it a listen.
I identify with his Pray for Rain
You should listen to “Jesus Saves” by Riley Green! Great song and tells a meaningful story
My family owns 1000 acres and we have been offered 300 million and we told them to shove it
Alexis and Burch check out official music video for Cody Johnson's Dirt Cheap the video is great.

It's gotten to expensive to ranch and farm. I live in TX in the San Antonio area and land is disappearing to subdivisions faster and faster.
I wish you would do a reaction to the group Blue Magic and their song Side Show
