Even after dissecting a cadaver in my First year of Medschool, I think this has helped me understand things far better.and all of this for free! Everytime I have some doubt in the anatomy of any structure, I come here. Can't thank the creator enough. 🙏
Thanks so much for the nice pace of explanation and the beautiful rotating models. One of the hardest things for me is visualizing threespace from a flat textbook drawing -- your models help more than I can tell you.
its really useful for reconsolidating your anatomy after watching this! Bear in mind though, you learn better if you have done some reading before watching this video !
Dude you're a beast!!! seriously u got talent and skills.. and btw, Everyone in my med school is recommending your videos :) Good Luck and keep it up !
I want to make one comment. Some anatomist's call the fibers that surround the urethra and vagina as "pre-rectal fibers" which they say are part of the puborectalis muscle. This description certainly makes more sense to me than thinking of these fibers as part of the pubococcygeus. I hope that you will clarify this point of difference.
Thank you so much!! Helped me so much... Was not fully understanding it in my labs but I loved the easy and simple way you explained it. Hopefully, I pass my anatomy test :)) Coming back for sure
Humble request... Please make a video on Endopelvic fascia (female) and its applied anatomy.... very important topic. Thank you for all your previous video ... They are absolutely amazing.
Muscles & NERVES get irritated, pins & needles sensations in groin /CROTCH AREA AFTER SITTING TOO LONG. WHAT NERVES & muscles & tendons are screaming pay attention Stop doing old routines/habits??? Change something. Do not take pain drugs to put a mask on troubled pelvis. Right? Change ways. Methods. Habits. Routines. Or rituals inorder to RELIEVE DISTRESS PAIN. HOW???
Somewhere the way: the muscles and vessels and nerves, from the testikel to the prostate, they are in there route disturbet, maybe by the pelvic area or prostate. And that gives problem in the testikel or groin or both.
thanks! got here from Pelvic Pain Foundation, where they mention: "..Use special stretches to relax and stretch out the tight internal pelvic floor muscles.." anyone know where to learn such streches? cheers
4:50 Can the Puborectalis have hypertrophy in that muscle region causing a constriction to the rectum? Have you ever heard of such a rectal constriction causing fecal obstruction to eliminate normally?
Is there a surgery that can be done to fix injured or torn levator ani muscles? Ive been crippled by a lifting injury 10 years ago and no one has been able to help me? I was a 30 year old male.
This is a great video. Can I get permission to use your video in one of my classes? If so, how do you grant me authorization to share your video in my class? Thank you in advance
4:00 isnt puborectalIs the one that is around urogenital hiatus and rectal hiatus? pls correct me if im wrong im j trying to learn and this is confusing
Love you, love you're work!! Crying with laughter at that brilliant verse "S2, 3, 4...". A&P exam tomorrow for my yoga teacher training cert, have been through so many of the vids in last two weeks- they are brilliant and have helped me massively. None of this crappy american voiceover stuff, was over the moon to hear the British accent when I clicked on the first one - legend. I'd better pass now! :-)
Actually, acording to Gray's Anatomy, the levator ani fuses with it's other half on the iliococcygeous raft. The anococcygeous ligament is the external view of the structure and can be isolated from the raft.
Good video, great teaching, am not fluent in English, some things are lost. If the world were in Spanish support would grow exponentially. Thanks and regards ..!
Can someone Please help me... I have this pain in my rectum. Started out as a pressure, lasts two or three seconds, goes away, then just comes and goes throughout the day, on and off. Over time, changed from pressure to a sharp stabbing pain. Not excruciating but not fun.Thought it was my prostate, had that exam, but he said it felt fine. I even had a colonoscopy back in August (for a stomach ache), and all they found was a bengin polyp. I don't know what to do. I just hope it's not serious
S2, 3, 4 keeps Poo (dendal) off the floor, that way you remember both nerve name AND function. LOVE your videos btw!!
So nice, thank you
