- When nearly 7,000 grounded air passengers found themselves in Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, the town welcomed them with open arms and hearts. One of those so-called 'plane people,' Shirley Brooks-Jones, has paid it forward with the Flight 15 Scholarship.
The 85-year-old refuses to let the pandemic stop her from returning to the town she’s so grateful for. Ross Lord has the story.

Ohio 💀
Wow a plane had to land somewhere.
Go far away.
@@darlene2709 just another scam you bought hook, line and sinker. Bet you weren't even alive when it happened kid. Lol
@@raytard8995 lol. You can keep your eyes covered, your ears plugged, deny reality, and refuse to fact-check (meaning always going to the sources, not relying on social media memes), but it won’t change the peer-reviewed, proven scientific facts of the pandemic.
@@raytard8995 yeah but they displayed immense kindness to people they didn't know.
How can You pay it forward when Muslim countries attacked The USA. I'm not going to Forgive that.
Oh wow. There is still people like you around hey. Karen, you need to get l.a.i.d and relax. And stfu. And yes I am Christian.
You still haven't learned the truth? It's been 20 years, you are proof that msm brainwashing works.
Lmfao ok enlighten me, which Muslim country sweetheart? Which sect of Islam? You probably didn’t even know that there were more then one did you?
You totally missed the point of the story.
An unforgiving heart is a terrible burden.
You can forgive “someone” and still not be ok with their deeds.
I’ve forgiven a horrible woman; told her “I forgive you because God says that’s right. But we’re not going to cuddle, in fact I want nothing to do with you. Stay away from me.”
That said, I don’t think that you’re focusing on the point of the story…
20 years have passed. Move on.
People lost their lives during this disastrous event. How could their families and friends move on? C’mon just show a bit of empathy man...
@@squally0 All grieving has an end point. Grieving forever is dysfunctional.
I think you should move on
@@georgedavidson7986 I did, years ago.
@@boogeywoogey8605 you don't seem like you did. Here we are. So just STFU and "move on"
