You should also drop to the Lower time frame and confirm the trade

@@i-kc3nz just drop to a Lower time frame, wait for a change of character (a break of the trend) on the lower time frame then wait for price to form another institutional reference point like an order block or fair value gap on the lower time frame. Once price on the lower time frame returns to that order block or fair value gap, enter the trade with SL below the wick of the order block/FVG and TP at recent high.
All you did was make sure the lower time frame aligns with the higher time frame & that confirms the trade.
You can add certain indicators on trading view that will show you the FVGs, order blocks, break of structures and change of characters. You can use “market structure” by nephew Sam or “fair value gaps”, “smart money concept” and “ICT concepts” on historical mode by luxalgo

If you're bullish sell at the high, if you're bearish sell at the low. At least if you want to make money.
You only buy dips in a strong uptrend. You buy breakouts of consolidation. You manage risk appropriately. I personally stop out of breakout trades as soon I feel wrong. I rarely wait to let it go to my stop. Pullback trades need to have a strong or strengthening trend. An exhausted trend will get you sometimes.

Honestly I’m new and have been going for a few months but I watch it at the Day setting and I just wait for a candle to tell tbh . I’m not good at explaining but I’ve made my first 1000$ on a demo lol
You can always optimize more, but if you found something that works, cling to it brother.
What u need to do is backtest and practice with backtesting a lot.. watching vids all day n trading will get u nowhere.. u need to practice just like any sport.. also learn risk management

@@thomasf7567look at graphs on trading view, then just right down your trade on a piece of paper and see it happens. Cheapest and easiest demo. Actually trading there’s a lot of options Webull, Robinhood, and Coinbase are good starting points.
My dude, what is a fair value gap?
It’s when there’s a big movement, or displacement, between three of the same color candles. You take the range from the first candles low to the third candles high. Thats the FVG/FMG. Alternatively you can measure the entire displacement and average it, which is easier on the fly.
