I'll admit, you caught me off guard when it was Fake Peppino going up against Sonic.exe and not Pizzaface, but it was a missed opportunity for Peppino to go up against Sonic.exe the same way as the Pizza Tower final boss, more specifically phase 3, which is the boss rush.
.exe had been creepy, 'AT FIRST', but yeesh did that wear off fast. It's amazing to see how .exe became annoying and not very and overused, I guess, it's just the same story with very minimal changes. You're watching an edgy serial killer story woth supernatural elements. Sounds kinda like michael myers or Jason. Except it's mascot horror.
