April 25th is our "day of remembrance" here. I have the utmost respect for ANYONE who is willing to put their lives on the line for their country, no matter where they're from ✊️😄

The kids being surprised are awesome but the faces of the mothers and fathers seeing their child come home are my favorite.

I remember when I was at the sub base in WA and I drove down to see my mom on her bday. Dec 25th if you care just walked in the house didn't tell a soul. It was a very happy time for us both I hadn't seen my mom and dad for almost 4 years.
It's truly sad people have to part from their loved ones for so long not knowing if they are to return. God bless us all.

Awww I cried I know how it feels to be suprise by a family coming from the service.. My 2 little brother went to the sevice, one brother join the Army, and the other brother join the Marine's they both did 3 tours in Iraq.. But my family was so happy to see them come home safe and proud of them because they fought to protected out country..
I still remember doing this to my mother when I came home on mid tour leave from Iraq in October 2004. It was truly emotional and exciting because nobody knew I was coming home for 2 weeks.

I love this I remember in elementary a kid in one of the classes that we where going on a field trip with one of the kids parents was getting deployed so they moved up the field just so they could come along.
my girl said I never see you cry. I said "I don't". she shows me this and I'm dying, crying like crazy. God bless our troops

My dad is an airforce veteran, when he came home one time when I was younger we went over to the base and met him there I ran up to him and tripped falling into his arms. 😅💕😊

I came home on leave for 28 days before Desert Storm kicked off. Flew into Dulles ( now Reagan Int.) airport. My Mom hit me like Mike Singletary(great Chicago Bears linebacker)! Wrapped me up and nearly took me off my feet! She was only 4'11"! But she packed a punch!! I miss my Mom. She passed on in 2002. God rest her soul!

Jus' Nuts .... Buddy, I think it was simply a sense of overwhelming relief that you made it home safely & in one piece that made your mother so happy that she just about "took you out" (so to speak). I have no military ties in my family but I can understand a parent's sense of worry when their sons, daughters or partners are sent away on deployment, not knowing if they'll be coming back. When they do, to the relieved partners & family members, it can be better than winning the lottery. You can't put a price on the joy & relief when family members see their loved ones make it home in one piece, as we see so often in videos like this ✌️😎👍 I'll bet that your mother's welcome home made you feel just as happy as she was, even if she did practically "crash tackle" you in her excitement 🇺🇸☝️😂👍🇺🇸

These soldiers are the luckiest people to have such beautiful loving families and the best part for them is the reactions they had when they saw them come home now that must be a blessing for them! May god be with them

That 4:38 moment, brought tears to my eyes for sure - Just to let you all know, none of this is special - before the internet and telephones, these surprises homecoming were the norm - the person would just show up and that was it - now everyone is being cheesy and mushy about it --ok we got it, yes you have been away..wooopdeedoo!

When I came home from Saudi in April 1991, we didn't have cameras all over the place like today! I have just a few pictures of my arrival at the Kansas City airport! So happy for all of the KIDS today coming home!

my therapist reminds me," Don't forget to watch some soldier's reunions!" they warm my heart during tough times and remind me how I projected and dreamed about my own homecomings after being stationed far from home, seeing the emotional heart melting surprise wells up in me hope in people and my own tears flow.
Sometimes it seems unfair to stick a camera in these unsuspecting folk's private moment' just sayin.

I had 2 brothers who went in the marines and they came out as know it all’s and when they heard I enlisted in the Air Force- they showed up and tried to force me to do it- my Dad stepped in front of me and passed the car keys and my mom helped me get to the garage and I crawled in the windows of their Olds 98 and went to my folk’s friends instead of mine-they hid the car in their barn and I had to stay there for 2 weeks.. my Dad stopped by and gave ea couple hundred dollars and said I can go out, but stay away from the house and my friends house as well..
I was told I would out live them both because they never took care of themselves-I’m glad they are- they’d tell the VA I’m faking blown arthritic discs in my lower back and knees and and extraordinarily severe neuropathy in both legs… and on full VA Disability.

The ones that hit me hard are the fathers surprising their sons. Unfortunately my father thought of me as a thing. It lifts my heart to see strong relationships between father and son.
I'm amazed at how much joy can be spread by a simple homecoming and then I'm also amazed at how much damage humans can cause with a few simple words so to the first responders and the men and women in uniform at home and abroad and to the nurses and doctors cna's dialysis techs you have my respect and we owe you all a debt which we must try and repay to you and to the families who sacrificed a loved one(s) for our freedoms........
