Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M. We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.
I know it's a lot of work to put these videos together, but they give me a lot of joy to watch. We don't really have anything like this in the states, most farms are massive. How many cows do y'all have?
Yeah it is but its still a hobby to me 🙂 its just time I'm short on 🙃 we have 60 cows and heifers, 35 milking 😉
You finish the videos always saying "Thanks for watching", and I always think to myself--"no, thank YOU for making the video". Always a joy to see them. And I am also glad you take the time to just sit and enjoy that beautiful world you live in, even if it's just a few minutes.

Looks like you're having great weather these last couple of weeks? Here in Belgium it has been practically raining since september last year. Can't sow or plant any crops, a disaster for everyone
Well early spring was a bit wet but then we had summer-like weather for a couple of weeks. Then we got snow and cold and now its cold and rainy. Yeah so I hear, its unfortunate 🙄

is there a livestock auction near you to buy and sell your calves? do you have a set amount of milkers or does that vary?
No, we sell directly to other farmers. We always have around 35 milkers, it just depends how many are in dry period.
