Appreciate the video great walkthrough
Thanks heaps 😊
I can’t seem to find what doodalakey means?
😂
No jig supplied nor on the list on components.
This is the old version. I’ll do a new version install video soon
nice and easy
thanks.
Great video. Is there a handle on the outside of the gate to pull the gate closed when leaving?
Thanks for this! I’m installing several of these soon. I wonder if these can be rekeyed?
No worries. There is a new version of these. Same concept to install, but a bit better. Yes they can be rekeyed. 👍
Pretty cool mate, thanks.
Thank you !
Thanks for Sharing , very well and clearly presented .
Glad it was helpful!
Good video. We have done this but the gate won't lock. It did the first time but after that the knob with the hook doesn't go up and down and the lock doesn't work. We started again but the same thing happened. Any ideas? We are not game to cut the second plastic rod in case we are doing something wrong and end up with no usable rod. Thanks
Sounds like the rod is too long. Grind the plastic rod just a tiny bit more.
Could you recess these so you can have a smaller gap between gate and post??
Not necessary
Beautiful fence, gate and hardwood! What wood is that? Thanks
Thank you kindly. This is actually cypress pine.
Hi what size drill did you for metal
4mm pilot then 13mm
One questions: are the screws provided acceptable for metal?
Yes they are. 👍
Legend 🤙🏽
Which side faces street?
Push button 👍
Thanks for this video.
You're welcome 😊
Thanks for your video.....was very helpful
😀👍
Thanks dude, this helped me!😀
I’m happy to hear 😁
200th like!
You totally nailed that mate, and made it look easy. Love your eye for detail & precision. Top Work.
I've just installed one of these. They are shocking. Awful construction. Mechanism is pathetic. Cheap materials. Waste of time. (Landscaper for 20years)
Install a decent mortice lock instead.👍
My guess, it’s the installer and not the lock. 👍
@@naileditfencing You can unscrew it both sides and kick it off to break in. The spindle is plastic. It's cheap rubbish. The installation is easy but is a 1 out of 10 for security. Anyone with a wider knowledge would see that. 👍👍👍
@@timwhittles6414 😂 no gate latch is impenetrable. 🤦♂️
What is a mortice lock? I was recommended this Lokklatch Deluxe today by a local locksmith, but, doing my research I don't like the sound of this one, too cheap. I've read the reviews, they said they couldn't open from the outside after a few days. And the worst part: A local locksmith sent me a quote, and wanted around 280 Australian dollars for installation. So, Bunnings claim a life-time warranty, but if you have to pay almost 300 dollars for installation, who can afford to change the locks?
