My very favorite Tenth Avenue song! I would listen to it and cry when my son was in heavy drug addiction. Praise God he’s sober now🙏 But it got me through some heavy hearted times. I felt completely worn. That was the best way to describe that time in my life. God’s spirit was definitely in the mix in the room of the writers and with Ten Avenue North when preforming it. 🥰🙏
My cousin just shared the song with me and it brought me to tears. I feel so worn and feel as if I am almost drowning and struggling to breathe. My 14 yr old granddaughter was assaulted at school a couple of weeks ago and it has tested every part of my being. This song speaks to how I feel at this moment.
Julie, I'm so sorry to hear about the situation you're walking through. Please know that we provide a thing called The Prayer Wall where you can post prayer requests and have others pray for you. Here's the link: pray.wayfm.com/?wall=101
When i first heard it. It randomly came up on pandora. And I was already feeling so down and then this played and I cried because I knew God heard my prayers
This is one of my favorite songs of all of Christian music. I have sat in my car just bawling through it when times aren't easy and I just feel "Worn." Its a song for one of the days that you don't need any resolution by the end of the song because that isn't where your heart is at.. You're just worn and need to cry out, not necessarily have everything be ok by the end of your prayer.
this is my dads favorite song , he reflects it off his life and he has had it very rough , he almost died two times already and lost his eyesight in both eyes , hes had it very rough the past three years but he finds encouragement in this song and how desperate it is , he really loves this song and how God uses this song in his life too
Amen... I have been going through it for the last three years with irregular heartbeats, insomnia, terrible anxiety ... I back slid for about 8 years and I knew that oh Lord would come get me because he loves me. But the discipline sometimes almost seems unbearable ... I know he will continue shore me up in areas I need and grow strong in my walk with Him ... praise Him for that... I'll be praying for your dad.
This song is so powerful 💔 I've been through alot the loss of my husband he was my better have I know he say I was he's with my Lord for the best I love you guy bless to you and your family
Thanks Guys!!!!!!I am so refreshed by hearing this. That is paramount. Being a mother of serious loss I understand the need and what one who sits with you can mean and how it can impact your entire life. It leaves a lasting imprint of Hope on your heart. Thanks for being real---transparent. Wow such a rare thing these days. People act, hold things in, and they think by trying to fix you they are helping you. It's so the opposite. Shalom to you all. I love you guys.
sunsetstormx S.....You said exactly what I wanted to say! Thank you...I love these guys...so real and honest...My family also suffered a tragic, unexpected loss years ago and there were no words only support and love. We have been able to continue in Christ and live for Him. Bless you my friend...
This song is right on time. It Tie in with my Sabbath school lesson for this Quarter in title Rest for the weary..and Sunday lesson is in title Worn and Weary The Memory text My soul longs yes, even faints for the courts of the Lord;my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God” (Psalms 84:2)..Praise God! Also during this Pandemic this song is right on time praise God thank you a Christian. Nancy Wallace a Seventh day Adventist..
I relate to this song as it come out just after my son died in a wreck! I was truely worn..brokenhearted..asking God why?? I'm better now but still miss him so...I now wait til my time comes to see him again!!
We're so sorry to hear about your loss but so thankful for the hope we have in knowing we'll see our loved ones again. We're also glad you got some help listening to this song. It's a great one!
I can't believe anyone interprets this song as negative. It is so powerful and positive, and from all the comments on the YT video, I see it has also touched the lives of people going through much different circumstances than the writer, than each other, than me...I first heard it two days ago when I was feeling so down and hopeless (for the last several years I have been in a world far from Christian radio), and this song touched every aspect of what I am feeling - the point of being so weak, I could barely cry out, but knowing with that last little bit of strength I have left redemption WILL win. Praise God!
This song could well have been written by King David as a song of lament, followed by a recognition of Where his help came from and the sure hope of redemption. AWESOME!
This song makes me cry. My sister killed herself, my brother-in-law died from COVID, found my best friend dead the same day, 2 cousins murdered, and one cousin killed himself. All died in the same year other than my sister and she died the 2 years before. I wanted to take my life because I was so worn and struggled so much. I still struggle but now I don’t want to take my life.
this song plays a big part in my life.next month will be 5 years my wife and I have. den married. she had a. I polar attack and they are talking about putting her in a mental hospital for a few months. I have been having real bad depression and anxiety attacks. this song has help me cry so many times when something I even have any more tears to cry
I found this song on a suicide website/blog. I've never heard of you. Good lyrics and good explanation about how it is OK to put out a song about a common situation.
It hits home I fight MS every day and at my age it's tuff and now with everything else going on in the world makes life harder I am worn out before I get out of the bed ..idk really know what keeps me going
Tim, I'm so sorry to hear all that you're going through. We have a thing called The Prayer Wall where people come together and pray for each other. It may be something you would like to check out and get some encouragement from. Here's the link in case you're interested: pray.wayfm.com/?wall=101.
The Gospel of salvation of our souls: 💜💕❤️❤️❤️💖✨💖❤️📖✝️🕎💡💡❤️❤️💞💜💕For what I received I passed on to you as of [first importance]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time,
"all these died in faith not having received (yet) the promises" before Paul was executed all had forsaken him (except Luke?) Noah preached and only 7 others got on the boat with him.
I hope that God has mended the brokennes of your heart you spoke of here, and I hope you remembered it's not the end, your race is not finished, I hope that you held unto the hope and pressed on forward to the upward prize, God's grace is more than sufficient to help us all to finish well... I personally am having a long journey trying to to qualify academically. I am a 5th year historically speaking pharmacy student at university and I still have 2 more years before I will be able to graduate, it is a 4 year degree. And this song helps me know that there is hope, that in the end, i will win, because of Redemption power that wins!
I loved this song soo much but on a second look it's a discouraging song. It's a song of despair which is lack of hope and faith. God says cast your burdens on me for i care for you. So when you let your problems overwhelme you next is self pity, despair, complains, blaming God and even turning away from God. Seek first the kingdom of God, even when the troubles seem to suffocate you, look up to God. Christians' reward is not on earth, it's eternal life and you have to fight for it because the devil is wise and wants to take as many as possible to hell.
I still love this song because its about being down and discouraged, and losing hope, and being dragged down by the things of this world, but knowing that you can still give it all to Jesus and he can restore all of those things... I don't think theres a Christian anywhere that can say with 100% honesty, that they have never lost hope, faith, and the will to fight at some point. When that happens you feel pretty worn. This is a song more suited for real Christians that can admit that they have real struggles, but know that they are forgiven, and maybe a little harder to understand for those "perfect" Christians that are a little bit better than everyone else and do no wrong ... Or at least want you to believe that
Jason Anton it is human to lose hope and get frustrated, but it is christian to try to hold unto God in the midst of the storm. And that's why I said it is not encouraging. Deliberating on your problems is not helpful because focusing on the problem only adds it's weight. That's why some Christians end up committing suicide.
@@chrisechrise9113 Well Psalms is full of disparaging prayers and crying out words but we still find it encouraging and one of the most popular books in the Bible , and one of the most encouraging , and so is the song it encourages us to look to Christ.:)That's my opinion. I think any song that encourages that is positive.:)

Chronic fatigue. Every time it's on the radio I sing it with *all* of my heart; especially the line, "Even before the day begins."
Living through the COVID era with family who’ve survived and died from it. Revisiting this song.
Worn makes me cry almost every time.
Most honest song
