Please make a video on the topic of: what is the best way to start looking for a job or what is the best way to act after courses like cs50. Thank you.
I love this request. I'm going to be doing some interviews with some friends working at different companies and talk to them about their journey. Hopefully something like that will give a few different ideas of the path into tech. I'm primarily looking for the ones who got into the field without going to college so stay tuned for that.
Keep it up! thanks to your videos I've been really able to understand many concepts that I've been struggling with throughout cs50. And taking notes on all the things you end up talking about has been just fantastic.
This would be a great one and I love the direction. I think a lot of people have concerns. Stay tuned because this is something I definitely want to get in to.
Congrats Devin! I have a question I have been worried about. I am currently in week 5 but throughout the weeks I couldn't really figure or think of a way to make my own code. It's hard to understand and come up with my solutions so I use solutions from here and other accounts. I believe this is against the policy but I don't know what to do now since I'm halfway through. Should I try and resubmit the work from past weeks? I find it difficult to process and make code... I don't know what I'm doing but I can moslty learn what each line of code is doing thanks to your notes! If you have any ideas or solutions for my issue please help. I feel like towards the end I'll end up with nothing but a failed attempt.
Excellent question. There's more than one way to accomplish a code for sure. My recommendation is making an obsessive amount of notes to explain each function and loop that I'm talking about. The goal here is not just to do the code but to be able to look at a portion of code and understand it. what is a loop doing? what is it's purpose? why is it needed? add these notes in the code. My recommendation is also to complete the course and go BACK through what you've done. Once you're done with the course you should be able to go back through and understand your code (ideally) without the notes. But the first things you want is reps. The repetition is going to be what helps you understand the code more and more. My best advice is a massive amount of notes IN the code to explain what each thing is doing. Something you can read that you understand to help make sense. You're learning a new language. Give it time, put in the reps, and then go back through once you're done. You'll find yourself much more knowledgeable then.
Nice, congrats my ninja!
