If I hadn't seen the movie this rendition wouldn't have mattered to me, except that it's a gay mens' chorus. Moving to see such a large chorus perform with a fine solist, organ and piano. Congratulations!
kayper54 - when we lost Freddie, we lost a great artist. So what if he was gay. So are Sir Ian McKellan, Elton John, and Neil Patrick Harris. And lord knows how many other talented artists. Saddest of all that Freddie died of AIDS. Aids has taken too many people from our world. I feel blessed that in my almost 50 years of living as a gay man, I have only lost 1 friend to AIDS. Craig, u beautiful man, RIP.
F-ing amazing. I have to watch more..... I was primciple 1st Sop 10 years with So. Florida Lambda Chorale, then sang with Orlando Gay Chorus. Love it !!!! You guys rock. Love from a Lesbian friend in Baja
For me, so far this is THE BEST male choir performance of The Bohemian Rhapsody. Suddenly I had goosebumps when watching them. Love the voice, love the pianist ❤❤
I am a straight white male, who served my country from 95-11 and this brought tears to my eyes. There something about the soloist.and choir that is amazing. I was with my Dad in Italy for the 91 Three Tenors, and it is a sound that is literally tangible. Bless ya'll, if you ever make in to South Florida, I hope to come see y'all.
I am a singer and you are right, this choir consists of very good singers! And don't you just love the big organ sound, fantastic! Freddie will be smiling from above!
Sublime. I am not sure why this so very powerful, but it is. Choir, soloist, organist. Achingly beautiful, carefully intelligent. Thank you so very much
Wow, you guys are absolutely fabulous!!!! That soloist is just phenomenally gifted!!! Freddy's voice was internationally acclaimed, in that his vocal ranges were so wide and strong. This song, in particular, showcased this and has been written about by many authorities in the field. To be able to keep up with Freddy in this song, takes an incredible natural gift and talent. Freddy was, indeed, smiling down when the GMCLA did this. Whoever that soloist is, please shake his hand for me and......hang on to him!!! He's got GAME!!!!
How can people dislike this wonderful and outstanding performance ? It's done beautifully and the solo singer was great. The soloist has exceptionally beautiful voice and great skill, controlling emotional part superbly, not making it over the top, and I had tears in my eyes at some point as it was very moving and touched my soul. Well done gents. You were the best.
I would like to thank D. J. Pick and the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles for this magnificent performance. I've got gooseflesh every time I listen to this beautiful Rhapsody, which is quite often. Freddie Mercury would certainly be proud of this....
Freddy Mercury would be so proud of you guys. The organ was a great touch to this piece. Best rendition and arrangement I've ever heard. Congratulations.
Freddie claimed he had been working on three songs and decided to put them together. Perhaps. Some people claim this was Freddie's coming out song. We will never know for sure. What we do know is that this master piece is true genius. Freddie knew where every note was to be played before he entered the recording studio For that we can be eternally grateful. Love you Freddie!
Thank you. We've got one more! Here's another glorious solo that D.J. Pick performed with the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles: ua-cam.com/video/vpkArYuBwTk/v-deo.html
GMCLA performed in Rio de Janeiro in August 2006. We have fond memories of thrilling Brazilian audiences, and took pride in learning to sing em Portugués!
I've heard this song a million times, but this is the first time it ever meant anything to me. What a great soloist! And that organ! The last part of the song still doesn't make any sense, but wow, he really brought the story home in the first part.
Freddie Mercury dijo:"No quiero estar de moda, quiero ser inmortal". Excelente interpretación. El solista canta con el alma, los coros son impecables y la parte instrumental espectacular. Oh, my God!🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
This is one of those videos I wished I had the opportunity to hit the like button more than once. It's simply amazing - I can't stop listening to that version. Great song, great voices, great men and great editing too!
Wow! Bravo to all in this choir! This was and still is my favorite song to sing! I believe I was in the 9th grade choir when I was lucky enough to sing this! I will say this is quite a different spin to sing this song, and probably the 1st time I did not sing along, lol, so I could listen to all of the amazing soloists. The main man has an amazingly different voice that I love! Great job everyone, I cannot say it enough :)
Do you know guys the feeling like a cold shower goes down your back? i like this feeling and during this performance it wouldn't end... such a gandios performance...
One of the joys of working in a city where Entertainment is the largest industry: GMCLA has the opportunity to select from a remarkable collection of very strong performers. As a result, the chorus is actually divided into _eight_ parts, with half the chorus comprised of tenors. Our tenors come in four flavors! There are low First Tenors singing different notes from High Second Tenors. D.J. Pick, the soloist in this video is a High First Tenor.
Sounds amazing though, you guys did an AMAZING job. I’m trying to convince my high school choral director to get my our men’s choir to do this arrangement.
Fantastic tribute to Queen! And knocked out of the park with the organ!
If I hadn't seen the movie this rendition wouldn't have mattered to me, except that it's a gay mens' chorus. Moving to see such a large chorus perform with a fine solist, organ and piano. Congratulations!
Freddie smiled down from Heaven when he saw this. A great, worthy tribute. That said, OH, how I miss Freddie.

Amen!
Not so sure Freddie is in heaven... I mean his actions weren’t the best or purest.
Love this. The ending, with "Any way the wind blows ... " and its subtle unresolved dissonance on F - G is so very telling. Genius.
Rip Freddy. Through you we all found Somebody to Love.❤️🌈💋❤️🌈🦋😭
This soloist has so incredible voice!! I was impressed.
Chills running up and down my spine. BRAVO. Cooke
O my gosh what a amazing performance the solist was amazing 😊and the organ was stunning 😮😊
Perfect👏Freddie smile🙂in heaven and i must cry😢💔
The lead singer is so passionate...each nd evry words can be felt through heart
Beautiful performance! What makes this even greater, was that you understand the words.
This needs more and more views; this is how you perform Bohemian rhapsody in a choir! Show 'em how it's done!
+Lottie Lameko : THANKS! Feel free to share the link with everyone you know.
I was just thinking the same thing. I can't believe this doesn't have more views. This is literally my favorite version of this song ever.
Wow ok
F-ing amazing. I have to watch more..... I was primciple 1st Sop 10 years with So. Florida Lambda Chorale, then sang with Orlando Gay Chorus. Love it !!!! You guys rock. Love from a Lesbian friend in Baja
I saw you guys in Tampa and San Jose at GALA
how on earth could you possibly dislike this?
I am so grateful that gifted musicians such as The G.M. Chorus help the rest of us truly feel.
For me, so far this is THE BEST male choir performance of The Bohemian Rhapsody. Suddenly I had goosebumps when watching them. Love the voice, love the pianist ❤❤
Painfully beautiful. Imaginative & such talent on that stage. All great, The organist deserves a medal. .
All beautiful men from Los Angeles. Good job guys love you all.

Absolutely beautiful. How wonderful the human voice is. What a gift.
Wow, that's all I can say is wow. That soloist was great, and then the choir came in behind him, and the sound soared....I'm in awe.

It's the hardcore queen fans that hate people for recreating art into different forms
2:48 the most powerful voice my ears had the luck to listen to! What a mind blowing performance!!!!!!!! This is what a voice should sound like.
Freddie would be very very pleased. He was a gift to the world and touched us all.
That "sometimes I wish I'd never been born at all" line killed me, the soloist has the pipes of an angel
Fabulous. Beautiful voices and passion for singing. Thanks for keeping me entertained during this quarantine time. From Canada.
Every time I watch this I have to cry. Amazing Mr. Pick.
Beautiful. Thank you to a fabulous chorus, darlings.
Stunning is an understatement! Hats off to GMCLA for a classic rendition of a classic song!
Yes! Soloist and chorus are excellent! And congrats to the organist and pianist -- well done!
Magical performance... Freddie would be so proud.. thank you gentlemen
I would like to thank D. J. Pick and the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles for this magnificent performance. I've got gooseflesh every time I listen to this beautiful Rhapsody, which is quite often. Freddie Mercury would certainly be proud of this....
"didn't mean to make you cry"
But you guys did.

Do you mean perhaps the man he killed was his closeted self, or is that too much of a metaphorical stretch?
The Los Angeles Gay Men's Chorus always uplifts me and the beautiful music fills my Spirit with such a powerful sense of Love and care....
Best male soloist voice!!!! His voice just blows my mind. Wish i could listen to him everyday!!!!!
Thank you. We've got one more! Here's another glorious solo that D.J. Pick performed with the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles:

Today marks the 27th year without you, Freddie. May you rest in eternal peace...
too soon to talk about it
@@charlezbee too soon for what...?
This had me in tears, can't wait for open auditions at the end of the month.
I've heard this song a million times, but this is the first time it ever meant anything to me. What a great soloist! And that organ! The last part of the song still doesn't make any sense, but wow, he really brought the story home in the first part.
This is sublimely beautiful. The soloist is probably a rock singer at heart.
Freddie Mercury dijo:"No quiero estar de moda, quiero ser inmortal". Excelente interpretación. El solista canta con el alma, los coros son impecables y la parte instrumental espectacular. Oh, my God!🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴

El solista te provoca piel de gallina al ver como canta con el alma misma.
El solista te canta con el culo
Wow! Bravo to all in this choir! This was and still is my favorite song to sing! I believe I was in the 9th grade choir when I was lucky enough to sing this! FREDDIE MERCURY ! What an absolute Genius
My neighbours are listening to this everyday since they have no choice
Most people don't appreciate having to hear their neighbors music choices! How selfish of you!!!
This rendition of one of the most iconic tracks in history is simply magic.
To me…and to us 🤝🏻👨❤️👨
We have inherited Freddie's legacy 💪🏻
Freddie would be really proud!

Minutes 2:48 to 2:50 are absolutely pure magic!!!! This man is a genius.
The vocalist did not even switch to falsetto to reach the high notes. There are occasions when even Freddie Mercury would do it.

the most tenors I’ve ever seen in an all men choir omg
