It's his prosthetic limbs. They're just Cybernetics, not his actual biological form, so they're depicted as pure white.
It's both reasons stated since only his biological body is red, his limbs being blue/white but it can also be simbolic of his current self being engulfed by the dark side while the parts he lost before fully becoming vader still were of the light

@@mrminkman952 that's a really cool point that I think ties into the lore around them. Lucas pulled from various eastern religions which tend to not involve creator gods so I don't think he would put in characters that are Creator gods. Im not 100% sure but I think what "gods" means in this case is more like "beings who are incredibly powerful so compared to mortals they are _godlike_".
I think what it is, is that their species was so attuned to the force that when the brother fell to the dark side he reached unimaginable strength in it. And the same for the sister and the dad in the light and neutral sides of the force.
But even they paled in comparison to Anakin's full potential who was able to fully overpower them both at the same time. If they were actually creator gods then I don't think Anakin would be able to overpower them because they would be the source of any power he wielded. It also doesn't make sense to me why the father was growing old and dying.

If Luke or Ben didn't stop him at the right moment he would reach his maximum power faster and faster, don't forget that these forms can destroy Father, Daughter and Son, how much more likely in the unknown systems Abeloth, the power would continue to grow within him that it would be inevitable to stop him. In actuality, Starkiller was below Vader's power as shown by the scrapped Force unleashed 3 game which had Vader saying that he went easy on him last time and then having Vader absolutely mop the floor with Starkiller.

The game did amp him up a bit but Lucas did say they did that for gameplay and to give an idea of how Luke would be if trained by Vader and maybe Lucas said different after he changes his mind on things pretty often but he did say it before and either way luke was weaker than Vader. This takes place right before a new hope and you’re right that Vader held back against him. The author said it about the 1st novel and Vader says or thinks about that in the 2nd novel I don’t remember. I wish they would’ve made the 3rd game so everyone would stop thinking he’s so OP and see hat Vader is actually more powerful.

Balance in the force means to make the force nexus of light and dark good and evil as equal and not one more than the other, as the dark was overwhelmingly powerful from 999 BBY-4 ABY so the force created anakin to destroy both sides to create a new balanced force nexus where both the light and dark can start anew (atleast in legends, disney hasn't really specified yet)

Back in Legends it went: Anything made by Lucas himself>TV shows>Comics>video games thats why when the prequels came out a bunch of comic lore that contradicted the films was superceded and decanonized. Disney is basically the same except instead of Lucas having final say it's now: Anything on Disney+>everything else. The technology argument is flawed because Disney clearly has the technology to do whatever they want at this point, also you can't just assume anything that doesn't happen in the movie is because of technical limitations. The way the jedi and the force are depicted in the prequels is the reality of what the jedi and sith are capable of, comics that depict force users like dragon ball Z characters are simply exaggerated fluff.
