Awesome thanks for this vid I just put a new weber on my 87 and will do the fuel pump and the regulator looks way better than the bulky when it comes with
I ran a 32/36 on my truck for years. Factory fuel pump with a return with a Mr gasket dial regulator just passed the t. I did not have a pressure gauge passed that t. Not much of a fan of the 32/36 but I never did rejet it either. I think the electric choke heaters went out frequently. I went back to a stock Hitachi carburetor. I tried the 38/38 also. Again I did not rejet it. Look into the Rochester two barrel. Very cheap. Massage the mounting holes with a dremel. Air filter fitment readily available. They are synchronous just like the 38/38 Weber.
My B2200 was so much better with the Weber setup I could feel the power increase but the problem was it always had that flooding smell that nobody could fix but I just delt with it cause it still ran 100x better then the factory setup
Just stumbled across your channel. I'm surprised, but glad to see the mini truck scene is coming back around. While it wasn't exactly my thing back in the day I helped lots of kids from doing stupid stuff. Thumbs up buddy.
Thanks for making a Video Jake! It’s cool that it helped get Little Blue running, just sucks since I know it gets cold there and the winters must kinda suck with a carb. Maybe at some point do a SR20 swap or a K24 swap? When’s the video coming out about the new machine for the shop? Hope all is well brother!
Thanks homie, will do for now. Think I'll end up doing a typical LS swap lol, easy to get parts and wiring harness. Will put a vid of the machine once it gets here.. not sure when its coming though waiting for a tracking number, the plasma table took 3 months to get here hoping not so long for this new machine🤞 Keep on truckin'
Very interested in how you customized that throttle linkage with the spring return because I had the same problem an no one could figure out how to fix that because most people do not work on carbs today.
I’ve tour vids man!!! Little off topic.... but what was the offset of the steelies you had on your old build? Where did you get them? Again appreciate the years of awesome vids!!!!!
They were detroit steel wheels, 20x8 and 20x9. Cant remember offset, i did an unboxing of them on the channel years ago. Find that vid and its says offsets
This may be a dumb question. But when you installed the external 720 fuel pump and wired it to the existing wires on the pick up. Did you put the new fuel pump back in the gas tank with pick up or did you have to mount it externally since you replaced the original one ?
Removed the d21 fuel pump inside the tank, replaced it with a tube to reach the bottom of the tank. Mounted the 720 fuel pump on the frame right beside the gas tank.
@@scrapingpavement thanks for the reply. So the tube you ran to the bottom of the gas tank did you just make a hole on the top of the old fuel pump cover to the external fuel pump ?
Nope i use the same line that ran into the tank that comes out of the sending unit. Just cut part of the line and installed the fuel pump on the outer hose.
@@scrapingpavement I will right now. I agree with you on this. Mine was always idling too high and the only way to get it to come down to normal was to rev the engine. I actually got pulled over by a copy one night because he thought I was being rude to him.
I was lucky with mine and the carb was tuned really good out the box. I've only adjusted the cold and warm idle screws. Not sure if you mean the truck is idling rough or driving rough? If its driving rough you may need to adjust the air to fuel ratio, I had my carb checked at a shop where they put the truck on a dyno and where able to measure the perfect air to fuel ratio.
Yep changed the tps, maf, couple other plugs nothing helped. Was at 2 local mechanic shops and they couldn't figure it out. My guess was wiring or computer but was past the point of trying anything else so weber it was.
Not too sure... couple things to check is the cold start idle screw mine was cranked up, throttle returing all the way back, air fuel ratio could be off..
