@@e.castlerock8454 ...thanks for watching and for your great comment....just take things very, very slowly the speed will come gradually with lots of practice...I practice new techniques in small time slots so I don't get bogged down...I mute the TV adverts and have 4 minutes practice....👍😊🥰🎵🎶
Thanks for this. The DDDUDU strum can be boring and often I find the playing it I’m speeding up as I go. But this will make it interesting - it sounds much more complicated than it really is - and will help me keep in time. Can’t wait to practice it more.
@@NOLAMikki ..it's great to hear you found this useful....played slowly it's pretty straightforward, makes keeping time so much easier and really makes this strum pattern jump out...have fun...and please let me know how you get on...👍🎶🎵🙂💕🥰
@@enadow1 you're right Liz...it does with work wel with that song....take things very slowly and all will be well....speed comes in time but don't rush things...have fun...it becomes second nature after a while...👍💕🎶🎵🥰
Hi Graham, this is very useful. To be honest I never think too much about strumming patterns, I just check out what the chords are and go for it. I really should think about what the right hand is doing more often.
@@Reeldin58 ...I always try to match my strumming pattern to the songs rhythm...I'm trying to develop this in our Eagle Ukes group to improve our overall sound and add to their uke playing skills...👍🥰🎶🎵
I suppose I became a bit lazy that way over the years, working with just a bass player and drummer in the band there was nobody to clash with so it gave me the freedom to play pretty much the way I wanted to.
Hi Graham, That strumming tutorial was really interesting and very helpful. I did follow the link you gave me the other day to find your other tutorials and I am now practicing using my thumb for strumming to achieve that low G timing rhythm in the strumming patterns. Thank you. G.
....that's great that you found them useful.... there's many ways of strumming but I've just morphed into my present technique which makes all patterns more interesting and gives a bass line effect by hitting the top string and helps keep you at a steady tempo.....have fun.....👍🙂🎶🎵🥰💕
I make sure to watch them all to the end just to get that kiss from Graham!! 🤣
@@Dave_D. ... aww thanks Dave xxx👍🥰🙂😘
Thanks for the tutorial. Boy, it sure does sound great when you get it up to speed! The problem with me is getting it up to speed. 😊
