Awe thanks sister! I really appreciate you! I’ve been tinkering my whole life! I learned so much from my dad. They used to say he had hands of gold. He could make or fix anything! I hope you have a wonderful day my sweet sister! ❤️
Holy shit man ! That was impressive, to me anyway. I would not know where to begin. I’m not mechanically inclined. If I was to run over a cow, now we’re talking. I could break that sucker down into beautiful steaks and roasts. I was a butcher for 35 years. haha. Great job sir. Thanks for sharing. Tony.
Thanks brother, I appreciate it! Man you have some skills! Years ago, like around 30 years ago, my local butcher stop processing venison due to some stupid state laws. That forced me and my buddy to do them ourselves. We’re talking a lot of venison! Probably something like 2 or 3 a year! It’s not something easy for someone not skilled like you! Do you follow Scott Rea? He’s a fantastic butcher! I love watching him! You’re welcome and thanks for watching brother, I appreciate it! I hope you have a wonderful day!
Nice job brother. It’s pretty tough to open up a washer with a drill. I’ve used a die grinder many times to do that but your method works great too. Like the idea of the drill and sander 👍👍very cool.
Don't I know it! I've ruined many a washer trying to use a standard twist drill. They always get stuck and mangle the washer! These step drills work awesome! Thanks for watching brother, I always appreciate it!
I’ve done it that way many many time over the years for one offs. I find a twist drill sometimes would catch and kinda mangled the washer. I needed a way to be more precise and end up with a clean and neat washer! Thanks for watching brother, I appreciate it! I hope you have a wonderful day!
Just a tad! 😂 I actually thought about squaring them off, but figured it would be easier to use a jig and I’d have something repeatable! Thanks for watching brother, I appreciate it!
😂 That’s awesome brother! I wish I had my dad’s! The memories of that lantern started my journey! If you have any questions, just reach out to me and I’ll help you!
😂 I did notice the 3/8 washer on the originals was thinner that the 1/4. I did use a straight edge to see if they ended up parallel to the frame and the valve. The old ones didn’t and the new ones do! This is a case of the new are better than the old! If you need a set or two let me know brother!

I do the same thing , but sometimes just use a drill bit to enlarge the hole and a bench grinder to grind down the outside diameter

That's cool brother. Thanks for the video
You’re welcome and thanks for watching brother, I appreciate it!
OCD? Lol I would’ve just squared off the two sides of the washer to fit in the channel. But there is nothing wrong with perfection. Great job.
Just a tad! 😂 I actually thought about squaring them off, but figured it would be easier to use a jig and I’d have something repeatable! Thanks for watching brother, I appreciate it!
Your macgyvering is getting impressive
Why thank you brother, I appreciate it!
I am going to start calling you MacGyver . You can make anything you probably made the drill from a gum wrapper lol great job Brother
😂😂😂 Necessity is the mother of invention! Oh yeah!!😂😂😂
How about we call him "DomGyver" for short?

But did you mic them for thickness...?? Just kidding... I've made them myself but not with so much precision..lol Nice work
