  • Take a look back at the Orpheum Theatre's history in downtown Memphis. From its beginning as the Grand Opera House to where Broadway Meets Beale today, the South's Finest Theatre has been through decades of triumph and challenges.

😃 " MAGNIFICENT!.... The City of Memphis, Tennessee is truly blessed. ' The Orpheum Theatre ' is a gorgeous testament to the obviously passionate determination of civic supporters, not only for the preservation of this grand and well-storied landmark but also the continual artistic revitalization every bit as important for local cultural preservation. Bravo Memphis! "

Pat Halloran, the man who helped revived and restored the historic Orpheum Theater in Downtown Memphis and brought Broadway to the Bluff City, has passed away. He was 80 years old at the time.

Thirty-five years ago today, On March 27, 1986, I saw Cary Grant in a one-man answer and question show at the Orpheum.

A fabulous place and a Star from when the City had Positive Energies.
The Memphis History reflects this city's very no nonsense Liberal Attitude, that of Independent River Businesses, and a melting pot of Peoples whom journeyed up/down the Mississippi River as long as it existed.
The current era has absolutely no reflection of, nor will it affect the True Energy that is Memphis!
May she expierence the Independent Spirit and Individual Freedoms, that inspired her location as a Major River Port.
... it could have been, almost was, Randolph, Tennessee, but fate has another direction.
God Bless Memphis, Tennessee ... 🍀

Nonsense. It had 0 influence in that negative energy. That's the result of minds filled with fear based Ideaologies.
