May Dr. Lindelani Mkhize perhaps also be part of SA Idols, because wow...his accolades shout from the rooftop and I think the knowledge and impact he will put in will really be not in vain
Shout out to King David. Man is doing great job documenting legends... Telling their story, unfiltered and raw. Thanks for this platform my king. You're good at this. It's in your blood, you don't need to work hard, you were born for this... And Everytime you speak you give us goosebumps grootman... Yes you're a grootman 😆 even though you look 24. You're a legend yourself and we need to document YOUR story too.
Almost every musical legend that has been here gives mention to chicco Twala. I would definitely love to see him on the podcast. After watching this interview I can definitely say Dr mkhize is one of the best music executive we were ever blessed with as a country. I was amazed to hear his contribution to Kwaito and his knowledge about SA music industry and its history 🙌.
This was special Mkhize Khabazela, Ka Mavovo, Gcwabe, Mumbo ombulazi. Such a phenomenal guy he is Thanks Mashabela, the brilliance that Mashabela embodies is unmatched. Through your skill and talent your were able to allow Dr Mkhize to share his lived experiences with no fear or favour and so profoundly. Mashabela izandla zidlula ikhanda Baba ngomsebenzi owenzayo, muhle uyancomeka 🙌
I don’t know how you got him. He is elusive. I must watch . Just like his stage work yet we know he is packed !!!! I await to hear him unpack nuggets for us. Thank you King for such great work
I'm in awe of Lindelani's career & immense contribution long before Joyous. Most of us only know him for gospel cos even when you Google his biography begins from Joyous...nothing archived before that. This man is a South African treasure.
Greetings from Seattle, Washington. Just listened to the first 20 minutes of this interview and the oozing is real! Oozing of humility, gratitude, honor, and honesty oh my God! Dr Lindelani Mkhize, you are the real deal. You are a joy and encouragement to listen to. I have smiled and shed tears at the same time. It would be such an honor even to just shake your hand. You are blessed with a great humanitarian spirit. Thank you for allowing yourself to be real, to be raw, to be humble and honest. I dreamt for many years that I was conducting a choir or group because I grew up in a musical (Christian) family. We sang in church as a family of 8 in Nairobi,Kenya, for many years. Opportunities like Joyous Celebration would be only but a dream for me.
This is black excellency at another level and the wisdom is just something else. You are a true inspiration Dr Mkhize and thanks for the plug on Ncebakazi Msomi -Ukufezwa kwamadinga, great song
He s an alrounder. I only knew the gospel side… but later on I realized he was way too involved in the kwaito game. And Mthunzi Namba was also involved in the kwaito movement as well with bo Mdu, Ntokozo Masinga etc
Pls bring the follwing legends on show King David- Freddy Gwala; David Kau; Connie Fergusion; Rebecca; Sechaba; Lelethi Khumalo; Jakarumba; Mdu Masislela its nice to listen to all this legends stories and we will like to hear more stories. Very inspiring. Great interview with Dr Mkhize.
Lindelani is so humble.Thank you King David. Your laid back interview style is outstanding. Your research and knowledge about your guests and their work is exceptional. Keep up the good work. We appreciate you King.
King David, thank you for capturing each one of these inspirational stories of the generation that births us.... We would never have heard these stories. Thank you and continue the good work!
Dr Mkhize, we don't just watch and listen, but we look forward to the next LEGENDARY story. Gladly cheering you on King David. May you continue to find the time, passion and willingness to put these stories out here. They certainly remind me of a time in our lives when being South African was something to be very proud of.
What a brilliant humble man Dr Lindelani Mkhize is. Thanks for the inspiring story of your life Doc. The podcast just reminded me that there is only one way :- Hard work & Dedication.
Hi Dave. The calibre of your guests is amazing. You remind me of "People of the South" that Dali Tambo used to host. I really enjoy the interviews. Mams is on the map because of you. Keep up the excellent work. Real proud of you and your guests,👌💪👏❤️
Mr Mashabela, thank you sir for this interview. And once again, thank you Dr Mkhize for lending us your time despite the lot of work you are going through right now.

Thank you so much king David for this show! It’s incredible to hear all the history of SA arts! We do watch the whole episode Dr Mkhize! Hahha. Even if it’s over a couple of days 😁.
King David is great at this interviewing thing. I will watch this one tomorrow while working. The podcast is great and it helps me get through my mundane and boring job.
Wow wow, I'm blown away! What a gentleman. Bhuti Lindelani is a truly South African role model! I can relate to the stress of taking care of the family and loved ones.
Amen 🙏 Mholi Lindelani Mkhize. GOD LOVES YOU 💘 ❤ and All your Humbled Children of GOD Singing to HEAL THE WORLD 🌎 🙏. THANKS KING DAVID. South Africa 🇿🇦 ♥ LOVES 💘 YOU All ❤
King David I’m so blessed to learn from you as a person, the type of guests you have in your Show if I can get an amazing opportunity to be around such wonderful people around me Gosh I’ll learn a lot, you are a champion brother
The problem with South Africa is that there's different market which are not served. I wonder what's the average age is the audience of this podcast 🤔 I love this podcast
This is really the most meaningful Podcast I’ve ever watched, I’m so grateful for learning this much. I’ve been listening to this on repeat for so many days and I keep getting so much wisdom ✨ I’m grateful. Thank you!
@KingDavid, hope you realise the importance of the work you do. It means so much for me as a South African and an African child. Looking forward to your book on "The History of South Africa's Arts and Entertainment Industry" Wishing you many more years of this Godly work and may we not loose any more of our precious artists and prominent persons before they sit on that chair and fossilise their names and stories in this beautiful history book. Best and Regards Tshililo Mabirimisa 🌸
King David, thanks so much for what you are doing, great job with your target market that you interviewing👏👏👏 However I was so touched when Bhut Lindelani was talking about how serious the issue of Arts & culture, kids having nowhere to play, no support from above and it's true. It's a sore point to all of us and I'm wondering if maybe you can initiate a platform where we can voice this issue because honestly we are dying. We can't just keep quiet and do nothing. Those above have no passion about this field and obviously nothing will change. Imagine if you are a Historian and you are given a role of a scientist, can you perform? It is where we are. If we loose passionate people like bo Lindelani, it is a disaster. This is a plea, im a nobody too but I see the importance of doing that. Please.
Such a learning show, love hearing peoples stories like where we come from cos we were dancing to the music but now behind all those hits❤❤,have head stories of abo Dj fresh sleeping on Lindelanies sofa😂 but jah while hearing such a beautiful story but im also getting to know King Mashanela Bra Dave.thanx guyz love the show and by the way im from Skhawini/Richard's Bay
Great interview I know Dr Khabazela well that’s what I normally call him every time we meet or talk over the phone 😊. The information you got out of him some it is fresh in my ears as I have never had an opportunity to hear about his younger days. He is more that a legend but an asset to the industry, humble, hard worker and he is passionate about helping the Arts sector and I have a much respect for him. Siyabonga 🫡
Oh wow the irony, the very JC2 that proves to have been a failure to him.. Is the very album that sold my heart to Joyous Celebration to start with, in 2002
May Dr. Lindelani Mkhize perhaps also be part of SA Idols, because wow...his accolades shout from the rooftop and I think the knowledge and impact he will put in will really be not in vain
