NOTE: I neglected to mention Alter Myunfa as a possible choice. I assume many of you have a form of Myunfa to sidegrade, however if you don't, Alter Myunfa's pure support (buffs) can rival AS Yipha (and possibly surpass her depending on the situation). Definitely worthy of consideration.
Nice. I pulled Oboro 3 times and a 4* of him too during the event. Since the first time didn't get the bonus light the 2 other times and 6 from a 4* were just enough to get past 80 light. I got Minalca 5* as a bonus, too! Iphi is definitely my top pick. I've played quite a bit in the last year since I found this game just before Christmas in 2022. It's such a good game. I have AS Radias and NS Yipha. I think it would be fun just to show off my hard work. BUT I HAAATE when I pull a hard fought for 1000 CS and I don't get a single 5* I mean they could if nothing else boost my light and shadow points!
Water slash is currently my favorite team. Sexy assassin, moe mail girl, bubbly girl with the bestest head pats, capped off with a pretty flower. Seriously though, such a well built team. So much fun to play.
3/4 from my fire team in top 5 :) if fire is not null or absord i dont have any problems to beat something. BUT there is so many fights right now whrere you NEED to use other elements. And thats my problem. I have so many characters to upgrade and already like thousand character quests to do. I give up for now to kill second Deatheater where u need to use water and i dont do challenge modes where u need to use specific characters. The biggest problem with new superbosses in short: if you dont kill enemy in few turns he kill you and you cant prevent that (thanks to Iphi and Radias they implement some stupid mechanics). I will get back to this when i have time to upgrade characters and make all those quests in my journey log.
Yeah it's not very good, but expected since SDE's are great already and WFS won't allow a guaranteed fully awakened unit for basically just 1000 paid stones.

I know I’m late to this thread but for anyone else that sees this, I missed out on Sesta the first time around and regretted it. As this SDE opportunity came around, I was wavering back and forth between Sesta and Minalca. I was dead set on Sesta but having FOMO on Minalca. I held fast and took Sesta. I don’t know if Minalca is good against melancholy aspid, but Sesta is (with the right team). I don’t know if Minalca is good against Lavoger, but Sesta is. No regrets choosing Sesta for SDE.
Kind of surprising that choosing an SA character on SDE doesn't immediately awaken them- I'd assume WFS would want to give more incentive for paying players to spend but this just seems to be stiffing sales... though I guess it might preempt the mindset of "I can skip whaling on this banner since I can get them in an SDE anyways"? A bit disappointing though. I'm currently a f2p player but oof, choices like these aren't gonna tempt me to change that anytime soon. Lovely and detailed guide!
WFS's management and monetization of this game really seems like constantly shooting themselves in the foot. Randomly doesn't let new players download the game (incompatible device for some reason unless you download it from an apk or Chinese app). No real low level entry point of purchase like the cheapest discounted currency pack is like 30 dollars and punishing lack of a pity system.

Tough choice. The SDE guarantees the unit so if you don't mind using starcharts for AS Alma in the near future, NS Alma is a decent pick. Otherwise you're gambling on a chance at SA Wenefica. Good luck either way!

I think they're going to fix his kit and if that's the case, he will be a force to be reckoned with. He will have access to continued barrier pierce which will set him apart.
The answer depends on what you do have. It is possible to buff yakumo to do 5x capped damage with right support. Cerius with AC myunfa and ES claude is one of the most disgusting broken things in this game. And if fixed he can rival yakumo damage quite easily. Regardless I would actually prefer yakumo as he don't need no SA to be broken. I regret SA Suzette since my roster can make Tsukiha much stronger. Don't have the good wind stuff rn. Also Iphi is better than everything else in this game, hands down.
I have a lot of bases covered but I'm missing both Iphi and Velette, never managed to get either of them. Which one feels like its the more useful in the most Veteran rank situations?

Go for AS Yipha. She fits in more teams imo. She is better offensive support. Alter myunfa sacrifices some of it for better defensive support. Unless you use all Earth team then she is broken AF. I find on 90 percent cases, Yipha is slightly better

Oooh that's tough. For fire damage you can go for Minalca... since we have tons of fire zone setters. If you have Iphi you can go for Yakumo. Yakumo can't pierce barrier but if you have Toova ES and use her special move (the AF move) she can give him barrier pierce. Yakumo can ignore defense though

Depends, if you want barrier pierce it's Minalca/Tetra for the heals. For top shade DPS Yakumo is great but more limited in use.
