has anyone been seeing what's happening to this town lately with shootings and stabbings now breaking and entering a house, committing an indictable offense - sexual assault and forcible confinement from a man that came from the Republic of Guatemala...this town is turning into a shit hole.
For your safety, i would not walk alone in leamington @ night.. in the last 2 months, the crime rate has shot up. During the day is okay but not so much @ night stay safe when travelling :)
Hi bury canco ;) Bought out Heinz … didn’t decide to sell. It was a huge blow at the time Bye. Streets are usually busier but this looks like it was filmed during the c19 pandemic.
Heinz was closed by investor Warren Buffett who moved operations elsewhere. Highbury CanCo was formed by locals who didn’t want to see the plant & it’s equipment go to waste & become an eyesore! They are employing less people, and they earn less than the Heinz staff did, & it has really saved the factory and many community jobs!
I don't know where you get your facts, but Leamington DOES NOT have the mildest winters in Canada. Everyone knows that Vancouver and the Fraser Valley have the mildest winters in Canada. Jeez. Also Heinz used to make many many more food products than just ketchup.
Nice town to bad you can't build a home because they rip you off in property tax...unless your a doctor or greenhouse owner... but for the rest that can afford to build but might have a problem with ridiculous property tax would be hard to pay both mortgage and $6000 taxes just because you built
A Canadian RVer eh ya that’s why lol or could it just be greed ...I guess you haven’t noticed that our wages have gone down Hienz was the only place that payed decent wages ...now our wages are less but they make sure your property taxes always go up and forget real estate there even more greedy taking advantage of sucking every penny out of you ...our town only thinks of one thing and that on how they can screw us on property tax or building permits that’s a fact.
You are so right Tony when I look around Ontario and see what you’re paying taxes for the size of homes you have in many areas of Ontario Leamington is very expensive and taxes for the homes and the size you get
@@ACanadianRVereh I've worked all my life so one day I could enjoy having a new home all I wanted was a 1400 to 1500sq ft home nothing big...but to have such a home you will pay $5500 to $6000 a year on property tax if you build almost like paying a mortgage only difference is it never gets paid off just goes up...and the permits to build is just plain crazy ...this town does not give the average person the chance to enjoy the benefits of having a new home unless you own a greenhouse... what surprises me is that we all just sit back and let this town rip us off.
Thanks for the memories. We got married there and lived in Leamington in 1969. Would love to come back to retire.
Wow, 1969 is quite a while ago. There are a lot of changes here.

Tony yes you are so right. Tax’s are high. But I guess this is where we do not have a big population to Collect more tax base.
