Great to see another video - always pleased when one pops up 😁 It's amazing how some people abuse boards and IC's 😔 I must admit I'm not familiar with this game but it looks exactly like Scramble with a helicopter sprite instead of a rocket! No problem with the easy fix and short video. Looking forward to the next one 👍
Great to get another video. I just love how clearly you got through your repairs. Interestingly I have a bootleg Frogger that is doing something very similar - and it had been working just fine. So I'm wondering if I re-seat all my removable chips it may also do the job! Looking forward to the next one!
Nice job. Is it me though or does the socket using the repaired chip have a lot of corrosion. Those type of sockets seem to corrode much more than others for some reason. I've seen arcadejason (An Arcade Repair UA-camr) replace them alot. He just pulls up the top plastic part of the socket and desolders the remaining pins stuck in the board. Dunno if I'd try that method myself, but it seems to work just fine.
Yes very good... if the issues would be reoccuring with the board the next thing I would do is replace all the sockets on the pcb. It is a bit of work but it is the way to go if you got recurrent problems with the contacts. Some other repairmen actually replace all sockets of any board before they even try or check anything else. I normally don't do that - only when the sockets and contacts are clearly done for.
A straight forward repair is always a good day. 👍
Thank you!

Yes maybe that or maybe if some sockets are corroded they might need to be replaced.
