Do rendering programs recognise this as a different surface, similar as to how paint functions on sketchup? Because this would be a faster method than changing materials properties.
I was hoping you were going to address the tag issue with floor plans. Recently, I've been trying to migrate to Revit but discovered that you can't tag painted walls on floor plans, and for interior design projects, that's really annoying. Is there a workaround? Or a proper way to have different walls with multiple paints on different sides without creating them individually, that can be automaticly tagged ?
The more I look at Revit the less I think it is a realistic tool. It seems more of a Designer's Tool. I don't see how you can generate plans that can be used for permits or contractors to use in building. So much information is just not there and then that leaves decisions up to the Contractor and that never works in the real world. Yes i think Revit is more of a designer's tool. So then why waste so much time when you're going to have to redraw it all in AutoCAD
@@fatima13ho yes you can export dwg format from pretty much every cad program. Schedules I don't know how well they actually work. Yes you can get some information but probably not enough to build anything.
I use it every day for construction documentation, once you get it to work for you and learn the interface well it works perfectly. Schedules have taken me a while to learn but now I love using revit to make them. I’ve been using revit for about 7 years.
Your videos saved me in college and now as a practicing designer who uses revit all day everyday 😂
