Just want to say how much I appreciate the time and care you put into all of your videos. Your shots are stunning and your music choices fit perfectly. Your videos are actually one of my coping skills for when I feeling anxious. They immediately put me into a world of calm and beauty. Thank you for your hard work and sharing it with all of us.
I was upset and was very bored, then I came accross your videos, seriously, peace of mind. the shots, music, cinematics. I really appriciate your effort
I've had this tank for 6 months now and it is pretty good for a beginner tank. The only fault I had was the pump got extremely noisy (loose laminations) after a few months and had to be replaced, the original pump was too strong so I downgraded to a slightly lower flow pump when it failed. The light is adequate but due to how close to the water surface it is floating plants miss out in the corners of the tank.
I have a fluval flex, and I think it's a really good aquarium. I have changed the way the filter/heater set up is at the back to improve biological performance and I do think a lighting upgrade would be useful if I wanted to try harder plants. But overall I'm really happy with it.
Hi, I hope you don’t mind me asking. I have the fluval flex coming for my mum, and I have the fluval beta kit for myself. What, where, and how. did you change the filter/heater set up to improve the biological performance. Thank you
@Lyn Nguyen Move the heater over to the right-hand compartment where the outlet pump is: it fits perfectly OK... Completely fill the centre compartment with biological media (I use alfagrog - because it is almost as good as some of the very best alternatives... but only a fraction of the price. The chunks are quite large, so it is necessary to use a hammer to break them down to something a little smaller to make them fit better) That only leaves the left hand compartments- where you can fit course foam behind the filter intakes, then medium foam... and finally filter floss all the way up-and-down what you see the inlet slots into that centre compartment where the biological media is. Buy these foam media and filter floss in medium sized bulk bags - it works out cheaper in the end. Some cutting will be necessary with the foam media in order to make it slot into place properly. Finally, there are 2 plastic 'cover caps' that fit over the filter inlets: I put a little filter floss in these before clicking them into place. This serves 2 purposes - firstly it stops little shrimp from being sucked into the filter compartments and secondly it stops the main media from clogging up so fast because it polishes out larger particles before these go into the main filter compartment. It is quite easy to click these cover caps off and fit new filter floss in once a week because it does clog up quite quickly and therefore restricts your flow... but the benefits are huge because the main filter compartment won't need to be touched for much much longer because it hasn't blocked up quite as quickly as it might otherwise have done.
I had this tank in white. It worked well. I had a pair of pearl gourami and some ivory mystery snails. Until they grew big and the snails over populated them and had to take it down. You can hide every equipment in the back slots and the light is good for plants. Only con is that its hard to clean the back slots if there are debris that got in there. And also the biggest con for me is that since its enclosed, it traps the heat emitted by the light so it warms up the tank very much that id either have the lights on for only a couple hours or i prop the hood up for some air ventilation.
Hey, I’m just getting ready to do the hardscape on my Flex 15. I appreciated the ideas you provided in this video. How did you mount the two add-on lights to the lid? Please send me the link of the lights as well. My plan is to have carpeting plants along with CO2 so I know I’ll need more light as well. Thanks for your help. I’ve been loving your channel. I just discovered it a week ago. Wifey enjoys it very much as well, especially your music choices and beautiful scapes. 😁
Lovely from start to finish. The lighting on a technical point, you increased the lumens from around 2.5K to what? 10 watts of LED for 50 litres is way below the wattage I use, the Fluval fitted light fitting seems to produce a lot of lumens per watt if these figures are accurate. With, admittedly a deeper (height) tank, I aim for between 0.75-1 watt of LED per litre, growing light hungry plants including Rotala Macrandra.
Hi I'm new to the hobby I bought 2 flex 57l aquariums for my living room and I'm looking for some nice floating plants with long roots to go in them, could you recommend any for my water temperature (26-27 degrees) thanks for your help it's much appreciated, lovely aquarium hope mine looks half that good one day 👍
Does Redmoor wood stay red over time? I ask because the Mopani wood I have in my Fluval Flex 15 turned brown after a month or so. Too bad because the original reddish colour is very attractive.
This looks very natural. Good job as always! Is the big corner tank still in the making or did something happen? Hope it is still in the works. Take care.
Now ur making me want to keep my second flex. I sold one just a few months ago and have the second one up for sale still. The light sheds a line of light along one section of the tank where I found more algae would always grow. I did find it hard keeping clean but that’s moreso coz I’m a bit lazy n don’t keep up with the routine. One thing is with the filter slots on left bottom it’s hard to add anything with height infront of it as you need to be able to get you hands/fingers in the remove the cover n clean. I had covers over them with course sponge behind to help inhibit mall critters getting thru into the rear filter area, even still I’d find some alive in the back on occasion. I’d like to know how you honestly go with your cleaning, tending to that lil filter slot section and also if you notice any line of algae in one spot more than rest of tank. Strange it would happen as you’d think the light bar would be shedding even light thru out whole of tank..anyhoo. Maybe I should keep mine,,,,,I always wanted one for years then scored the two from market place on the cheap considering they’re dam expensive. A 123 litre flex would be great but I prefer the filter area all along the rear of the tank not just in the centre. Trying to peer into the filter section to investigate for live critters would be way harder than just looking thru the glass using my phone light on the left side of the 57 litre. You’d know what I mean as u have one now. I seriously would appreciate you letting me know how the plants, growth, tank and cleaning goes for you over the coming months… please message me …I luv alllllll you other scapes…this is nice but when you have free run on a more open glass tank I feel your creativity explodes. My ally I,e fave is still the over hang wood one that doesn’t even touch the substrate…remember. Do you still have it running. I absolutely adore that one. Wished it was mine …lol Excuse any typos, I’m writing fast n not gonna re read n check. Cheers from Perth West Australia…Lisa 💙
So cool seeing you scape a flex! Was curious how you’d handle the very low inlet on the left side! I was debating blocking it off to get the soil higher in the back! I have a 9 gallon flex and love the kit! Where did you place the co2 diffuser? Beautiful scape as always! 👍
Where did you find the cabinet you are using? I’ve been trying my hardest to find a cabinet for it that will match the aesthetic of my room but have failed miserably. Any chance you remember where you purchased it?
Hey out of curiosity, I was wondering how you found the right light intensity for this tank. I set up a 40 gallon very similar scape but my plants dont seem to get enough lighting and I am afraid to turn it up and cause major algae issues.
The only way to get that desired intensity is to turn it up with daily monitoring and then this is a good way to avoid the problem you mentioned buy either raise your light and then you might be wise to cutback on your schedule ? Depending on the 1st - 2nd week of tweaking you will be even more dialed in & the last thing after 10 -21 days that's when I usually add 2 more hours and my CO2 is @ 30 ppm ! So over the 3 -4 weeks of daily monitoring, trying to make sure that the lights , heights &,hours are not going all in but 1 week then tweak 1 more but I am not impatient with this approach and I will have Ottos , Amano and Nerites only & feeding is minimal for 6-8 weeks!!!☯️
Nice setup. I have a Flex as well, my only issue was that the flow was too strong out of the box for a Betta tank, so I added foam to the outflow. But they are really good "kit"
Looks very nice. Your question is, if the factory package will be good enough for your ideas? Regarding your upgrades in the end it won't. Easy thing. I absolutely like this fluval tank, the light effects are funny etc. but, as with many "standard all inclusive packages", you are quite limited regarding your choice of plants.
love every one of these videos, but just out of curiosity, is it possible to create a tank this nice without the CO2 system? Simply due to lack of space. Keep up all the beautiful work.
Hi #thecinescaper, Could you please tell me the title of the soundtrack starting from the 5th minute of the footage? It sounds very Anatolian to me :) Very nice looking work btw.
I'm sorry, but that fluval tank is a major miss, and your design on this one feels relatively uninspired. Love most of your builds, but this one isnt it for me.

Thank you so much Kristin! :)
this is an ad for Fluval. Beautifully done ad though.
The way the wood fits perfectly in the tank is just so satisfying to watch.
Thanks!
It was cut to size before recording the video
Just when I thought content creation could not get any better
I can across this.
I am speechless
You're my favorite aquascaping channel. Everytime I have a bad day, your video's give me much comfort. Much love from Germany
I was upset and was very bored, then I came accross your videos,
seriously, peace of mind.
the shots, music, cinematics. I really appriciate your effort
Thank you! 🤩
Very nice indeed. This looks beautiful. You make it look so easy. Thanks for your channel !
Very nice greetings from serbia 🇷🇸 subscribed
Music is fantastic!
Simply an outstanding aesthetic person you are!!! Loved your videos and your concepts.
turned off the morning news to watch this video. Great way to enjoy morning coffee and start the day. thanks for making this video.
Thanks mate! 🤝
As this is that tank I’ve picked for my first planted one, very helpful.
Brilliant, looks beautiful.
The cabinet is perfect too - thanks for more inspiration
Always impressive
Beauty set up with the convenience of an all in one set system, minus the co2 upgrades. Love your choice of plants 🌱
Nice video and tutorial...
As usual 👍👍👍
All your videos are majestic.
Thank you!
I love my flex. You just gave me a few new ideas 💡
What an amazing video and aquarium !!
The flex is a great all in one kit. I even managed to do an iwagumi style scape in there with the stock light and a medium light carpeting plant.
i have this tank, its great the light does well keeping the plants.
very nice sharing my friend 👌👍🖐️
Gorgeous tank that one

Great colourful jungle aquascape 👍🏻
Beautiful aquarium 👍😎
Great job
Amazing video!
Thanks!
Beautiful tank thanks
Never tried anything from Fluval, might look into them now
I have a few fluval flex tanks, They’re great with filtration and lighting. You’ll enjoy them very much

I find the same about warming the water. Fortunately not a problem in my house because it stays below 24C unless I crank up the heater.
I own 3 of them; two 9 gallon and a 15. Looking to purchase 3 more. Easy to care for.

Beautiful aquarium 😍👍✨
I have the flex too, good little setup. Avoid the white though, the back wall will never look clean.
Yeah! Good music, good aquascape setup. What else? By the way ordinary thread is 5 time cheaper than ''ADA thread'' Hahaha. Cheers man.
My fluval flex 15 is my best tank for growing plants 😄 I don't use the carbon that came with the filter -just extra sponges
what in the national geographic film style is this masterpiece?
Awesome!!!

I struggle to deal with curved glass in aquariums. Lenses only. 😎
i live these fluval tanks , the onlyy dislike is how low the bottom intake is , wish it was higher
I love the flex but wish i could get my hands on the fluval edge 12gal i thing they are perfect.
Does the lighting flicker at default setting? At what frequency?
awesome

Seems like a giant add for fluval
Otherwise, why is it a problem if it is advertising? It is indicated at the beginning of the video. Not biased, completely honest.
Does Redmoor wood stay red over time? I ask because the Mopani wood I have in my Fluval Flex 15 turned brown after a month or so. Too bad because the original reddish colour is very attractive.

@@TheCineScaper I know the feeling. Take your time to make it as you like it. Wishing you well.

where did you buy the sodastream adapter from?
just wanna see ya but we arent much lucky.about the tank soo dope &clean ;)
Hey sweet set up! Where is the diffuser for the co2 placed?
So cool seeing you scape a flex! Was curious how you’d handle the very low inlet on the left side! I was debating blocking it off to get the soil higher in the back! I have a 9 gallon flex and love the kit! Where did you place the co2 diffuser? Beautiful scape as always! 👍

BGM was awesome..does that convex nature of tank gives a zoom in effect of plants/fishes and kind of artificial look?
It is not distorting, it is very interesting to look at.
Nice setup. I have a Flex as well, my only issue was that the flow was too strong out of the box for a Betta tank, so I added foam to the outflow. But they are really good "kit"
Great work of art!
Hey what kind of RO water system do you recommend?
Looks very nice. Your question is, if the factory package will be good enough for your ideas?
Regarding your upgrades in the end it won't. Easy thing.
I absolutely like this fluval tank, the light effects are funny etc. but, as with many "standard all inclusive packages", you are quite limited regarding your choice of plants.
Thanks! The factory lamp is sufficient for simpler plants, but with a little skill this can be improved. I really like this set.
How Often do u clean the Aquarium?
Nice job. I’m just wondering how effective this kind of filtration is?
Thanks! Filtration is effective! It is as good as an external filter.
love every one of these videos, but just out of curiosity, is it possible to create a tank this nice without the CO2 system? Simply due to lack of space. Keep up all the beautiful work.
Hi #thecinescaper, Could you please tell me the title of the soundtrack starting from the 5th minute of the footage? It sounds very Anatolian to me :) Very nice looking work btw.
Nice
How long with this last with no substrate?
szia.
Vagány lett.
Egyébként mennyire kielégítő a gyári szűrés?
Looks like you’re using co2 or used carbonated water for aesthetic.
Why would you mix the RO water with tap?
Because my tapwater is too hard.
@@TheCineScaper why not just full RO water? I thought that was the gold standard that's why I'm confused why u would mix
Because plants and some organisms need calcium and magnesium. It's also good to use pure RO water and re-salt it. This is the most accurate solution.
👍👍👍
Did you use Turkish music? It did seem like Turkish. Anyways, it was really relaxing.
Won’t be using CO2 so will need some plant exchanges.
Ультрабалдеж 🤤
Shame I can't buy this tank in Taiwan
I think the choice of fish here is wrong, it must have been an ember tetra, those are for nano aquariums, otherwise great job.
It's his aquarium, not yours. You want to pick an ember not the artist
💪👍👍👍👍
You should change your screenshot for your video, it does injustice to your end result.
I don’t like aquarium that have light attached on the lid, you can’t see anything when you do maintenace
You are right about that! :)
I wish you went back to your lower tech videos… wood a lot of plants and amazing scapes…
I like to try lots of different things.
This is an ad, right?
So the answer is no! 🤔😑
WTF the answer is obviously no when you've just thrown in about £200 worth of gas and lighting.
second comment
I'm sorry, but that fluval tank is a major miss, and your design on this one feels relatively uninspired. Love most of your builds, but this one isnt it for me.
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, I can't always make a video that appeals to everyone. But I try! :)
Basically a Fluval sponsored video ?
