Great find. My Dad bought a new 66 Rambler wagon that stayed in the family for 10 years. Would probably still be running if my brother hadn't sold it after it was given to him.
That documentation folder is almost worth the price of the car in itself! Awesome history and awesome car. I'll love to see updates and what use you put it to. Happy new year.
Love this car! It's nearly a duplicate that my parents bought for my older sister when she was to the point of needing a car for school. Years later I drove it and definitely recall how it felt behind the wheel. Hers was a six-cylinder Briggs & Stratton engine. Not exactly sure how AMC Rambler and Briggs got together but that was what it had. I watched your other video where you went all over it and it looked so familiar. I'm wondering if you know how the windshield washer works. The wipers work from air pressure and so do the washers. There's a little pump right above the high beam lights floor button under the dash. I saw it in your video. You pump it with your foot to spray the windshield. Another clever and interesting thing is the way to lock the doors. It's done by pushing down on the lever used to open the door. Up to open down to lock. Need a bed? ...The seats fold down to make a bed. So many interesting things from AMC! Enjoy! You got a jewel!! Your videos are great!
Good find. Looks really nice. That window sticker is really cool. One thing I would look into is if it had drum brakes in the front and see if you can update. Good luck with it!
Good story. Thanks for sharing. I learned to drive on a 1961 Rambler Classic, which my parents bought new that year. Ramblers were good value, and they drove nice.

Thanks! Gotta love the old wagons!

Thanks! It’s pretty cool to have and see all of the past history myself. Happy New Year!
Back in the '70s my friend had a '64 rambler we drove that little car everywhere it had a 6 cylinder $5 could go all day. and then some.
Definitely a different era of driving. Cooler cars and better gas prices!

AMC sure made some interesting cars back in the day. Pretty cool ones if you ask me! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Currently has manual drum brakes in the front and rear. Planning to upgrade that someday.
I think you should straight pipe it and get hydraulics like Ramone from cars
Maybe someday 🤔

Thanks! That’s cool to hear! I really like the styling of the 1961s. For the age, I’d say mine feels like it glides down the road pretty smooth.
It's a great looking car@@mpt.yt4
