These are fantastic. How much are 4 cups of flour by weight? 500g?

I tried this and this recipe is not correct , please send us the exact recipe. The dough came out the oven realy hard and not as you show us or maybe the problem is my oven ?

That looks like turkish simit !! 😋 I hope that soon enough we’re gonna be able to taste these bagels from their original place, with the song that you used playing in the background :)

Sticky dough is good. Just do as you say to stop it sticking to your hands and then knead it to release the gluten and make it silky to the touch.

I wonder if baking them in a Pizza 🍕 Stone would increase the outer crispness? Also, why use dry milk 🥛? (I think I have it, but my cabinets are so Disorganized i could get to Jerusalem & back before I find it.😉

They probably would be crispier but the goal is for them to be chewy rather than crispy- however to each their own. It would be nice to make it a few different ways. The powdered milk will make them super soft- it’s a trick I use. I feel like it works better than liquid milk

Wonderful. I have many memories of buying these in the Old City of Jerusalem. Do you use bread flour or ordinary white flour?
