Your videos are a great source of information for me. I am a novice trying to perfect the art my first bar I've successfully made. And in the final stages of the art, I'm trying to learn successfully stamping
it takes a very steady hand and a lot of confidence to pull off that incredible stamping. you make it look so easy my friend. a very well done video thanks for sharing it
Hi there. Stamping for me is a necessary evil for sure. I can't remember how many pieces I have had to redo over mistakes and plain screw ups.I did find I was sitting too high though and testing a stamp on a piece of paper for orientation esp. with the smaller stamps helps a bunch too. Keeping things in line and centered was/is always a battle too. It's neat to have another look at them. I got notice of mine the other day. Sure look forward to having it in hand.
good morning, how much did the axe stamp cost? was it custom made for you? i could do with something similar for a project of mine. Also is it expensive to assay the bars? Thankyou
It was about £150 for the big one, £100 for the small one. www.mshaw.co.uk/ makes great stamps. The assay office charges about £2 per bar for small marks and about £5 per bar for the big ones.
Do silver in UK need more then a registered company stamp and fines, to be legally sold? Here it is only gold that is required to be approved by state control stamp to be sold. Silver only demand finess and registered company stamp as silver bars do nat fall under the legal category of investment bar here. They are still seen as currency investment bars by most, but not by the law and there for tax on it it.
Assay office pdf lists "bullion" as being an exempt item from hallmarking - it's listed among raw materials -- " Any raw material (including any bar, plate, sheet, foil, rod, wire, strip or tube) or bullion. "
Yes indeed. But what constitutes bullion is not defined. So is a completed art bar with a premium just bullion? It adds a layer of desirability too so in my opinion both good for the brand and safety incase someone shouts at me!
What is the Point of Stamping them at all ? It doesn’t verify anything. If anything I would be suspicious of buying them, is it to prove-Proof of Ownership?

Get a 202 stamp made and change the last number every year this will last you 10 years
It is a good idea - but i would want them to be perfectly uniform,.
Backyard Bullion make up a small jig
What size stamp should i use to stamp 1 oz bars ?
Found it. :)
Does the silver bar ever bend a bit in the middle ?
Wow, you have a lot of silver on your website.
All sold, whenever I list something it sells within hours.
Try stamping construction steel beams... they are not at all fun, in fact I use a holder for the stamps to avoid hitting my fingers😂
I want to know how I can get my own logo stamp if you have any ideas please let me know

You need to have an assay mark on them, that is all.

I don't really understand the question. I .stamping them all because that is the product and how they look....
You should stamp when the bar is still very "warm."
999 silver is very malleable so it makes little to no difference other than it being very hard to handle if it is hot.
