- This video is to let you know I am having or had (At time of video release) a total hip replacement. It's gradually getting worse & I need to get back to hiking & be able to take care of the homestead. It's going to be tough for awhile & thank God to have my wife Nancy here to help. I'll keep you posted!

Praying for a speedy and successful recovery!! Nancy is a trooper- she can do the things that need done on the homestead. If you need more help than Nancy, reach out to a nearby church. Most are wonderful at helping with meals and chores that you need help with temporarily due to medical issues. And they try to uplift and help people in their local community. If I was closer, I'd be over there weeding with Nancy and feeding your chickens pasta. You just focus on getting better. I couldn't help but giggle a little at the "Walker with a walker" talk. Just keep your spirits up, and take the much-needed rest! Hey, now you're bionic like the Terminator! 😁💚👊

Thanks Dan! Appreciate that. It's been a week & surgery went well. I am up and walking some but will take time with the physical therapist. Hope to be back to normal soon. 👍👍

Had it done in March. Just did a 7 mile hike yesterday. First week or so is rough but recovery is pretty amazing. Best of luck to you!

Hey Bryan, really appreciate that. It's been almost a week since the surgery & all went well. Actually been waking around without the cane and walker for a couple days now. It'll probably be another 2 months before I'm back to short hikes & progress from there. 👍👍
