It sounds like he has the right idea about being mindful about the income that's coming in and that it will one day stop outside of the 70/30 he mentioned. i always worked construction around my city for just average money, well one day i hit it big with a job in the oil sands, the first time i came back to town i took my mom ,dad, girlfriend, sister her husband and their 2 kids and my other sister and her boyfriend, all out to dinner for my moms birthday at a fancy restaurant in town and it came to a little over 500 bucks and that felt so good to be able to tell them to order anything they wanted, it is for sure a night i will never forget.
