Chris Lill Because he's not as good at competitive surfing as the top guys on the ASP, by that i mean that he gets unlucky with small things like paddle battles and wave selection which is annoying for the viewers because we know how hard Dane can shred. He obviously enters comps to win but id say his free mindset approach to the sport doesn't do him any justice in competitions. Either way he still has the sickest videos of him free surfing and that's enough for me.. :p

in most places, dane reynolds isnt a household name, but it should be. he is as skilled as many of the best surfers of all time. he just seems to be a laid back person, and isnt that competitive. i think this should be all the more reason to respect him. he is obviously surfing because he loves it, and i think that is why he's so fun to watch
