You can always give it a try ☺️ if it's not for you you can comb them out! The 2 strand method was best for me Incase I changed my mind and the locs didn't work out! I'll be a year on the 18th THIS JULY and I must say this was an amazing choice for my hair and lifestyle ☺️ if you have any questions or want any recommendations feel free to reach out 🤗✨
I searched and searched until i came across your account, now im currently installing my own starter locs while watching this video & I'm so grateful 😊. Thank you for posting!
New subbie here! Shana, I have been searching for you for years...someone who shares the exact same hair as mine. I, too, have thin, fine, 4c hair and I also suffer from alopecia. I just started my locs today. This is my second loc journey and I am excited for what it brings. I completely resonate with being bullied and would love to hear your story eventually. Thank you so much for sharing your loc journey. I look forward to seeing your locs mature and learning about products that work well on our hair type.
OMG congratulations! 🥳 And thank you sooo much I appreciate you 🙏🏾🫶🏾💕 I'm so excited to continue sharing because I too couldn't relate to many LOC videos so I'm so grateful to help/ relate to others who deal with similar hair types and hair conditions 🙏🏾😊
Of course 😊 thank you for watching. I take multivitamins and use rogaine to maintain my condition. So far so good 👍🏾😊 I wish you the best with your journey 💝
I am also new to your channel. I have alopecia. My problem is my crown. The back and sides are full, my crown is thin, but full, except in the cow- lick areas or (upper temple areas). My natural hair is 2 1/2 inches up top and 3 inches on the sides and back. I want to continue treating my hair and scalp so that it will grow a bit longer before I start my second set of locs. I had my first set for 6 years and I truly miss them. I had to cut them due to a condition that caused my hair follicles to become inflamed. Did the injections to the scalp and tried several products for other UA-camrs, that actually worked pretty good. I believe, praying over my health and scalp worked well. 😊 Please keep viewers in the loop on products that may be beneficial to us alopecia suffers... Have an exciting and healthy loc journey... 🥀🤗🙏
I'm sorry that happened to you! I was thinking about the injection before I found Rogaine. So far so good and I haven't had to get the injections. My 6 months will be this January so I will definitely make an update video 🙏🏾☺️. Keep me in the loop when you start your new journey! I know alopecia can be a rollercoaster because I even shared that in a video. It took YEARS to see what you see today. So don't give up on yourself and go for it when you're certain and all in ✨! I wish you all the best and growth ✨🌱🌻 thank you for sharing 🫶🏾🥰
hiii i was jus scrolling through youtube before i start my loc journey , i saw your hair and it's similar to mine , fine thin 4c hair and refuses to grow as fast as others do. this is so helpful!!...was there a particular direction you were twisting to like from left to right or vice versa? am not sure which method creates a bounce to them i dont want them all flat and idk which exact way to go to, please help me out?
HELLO! AND CONGRATULATIONS 🎉🎉 I did free form parting because box parting made them look gapped and thin! All my locs are twisted clockwise 🔁 I typically start on the right side of my head and go left. It's always been that way when I did styles lol. They will look flat when you 1st start and everytime you retwist. It's inevitable unless u have thick and coarse hair! I have thin and fine hair so I get more volume when the twist are about 2 weeks old lol If you have anymore questions please don't hesitate to ask! I will do my best to answer with the knowledge I picked up a long the way 😊✨
@@Spirituallylocdin did you count how many they were? Your locs that is I want to get them thick and also have some good volume to it but I'm not sure how many I should start with . I want my head filled but I'm scared the only way I can get to that is if the locs are thin something I'm really avoiding What would you advice the best number to be?my hair is thin as well
I did count them! I have 86 and count them in my video "1st ever retwist video" I never thought my head would have more than 50 because of how thin andd fine but here we all are 🤣
I prolonged my loc journey for years due to breakage on my nape. It’s so reassuring to see another queen not let that keep her from being great!
