I remember when I was purifying multiple 4 liter batches of e coli per day, two of my undergrads (shoutout to R&R) found that swirling the bottles while we worked would loosen the pellet pretty well! Not enough to resuspend the pellet, but it worked pretty well considering how it isn't labor intensive!
