I want to share that I made a penny stove a long time ago and just a couple of days ago I finished it by puncturing the holes. I poured some alcohol into it and I had a penny and it would light up but I didn't get a continuous Flame. Maybe I need to fill it completely but mine just doesn't seem to work and I did a very nice neat job with it
