Had one of the originals with the inconveniently-placed battery bag rather than the new and much more sensible external compartment. I loved that 12 and played it for many years. I eventually handed it on to another 12-string fan. I have just ordered myself this new updated version. What I liked about the PB was that it was designed (engineered) to accept standard tuning which can be a problem for some 12's. Even the Vintage Giltrap 12 is generally downtuned by at least a half or whole tone. I usually do that anyway with any 12 as I like the darker, richer tones you get. Being a parlour size, you won't get the full boom of a dreadnought 12, but you get a rich middle and plenty of jangle. I wish there were more demos of this guitar on YT. I did upload my own on a previous channel, but very few seem to pop up these days. Here's one: ua-cam.com/video/ruasHMQZyhs/v-deo.html&ab_channel=DannyWard The PB and Vintage partnership has resulted in some wonderful affordable, well-made instruments in recent years.
Just got me new updated PB12 - just as good as the earlier model but with MUCH better electro system. BUT - and a big BUT - the new case is awful. The old one was traditional black. The new one is faux-animal skin. That part is reasonable although why animal skin????, but the carrying handle is ghastly. The textured finish is exceptionally uncomfortable if you're carrying the heavy-ish case for any length of time. I've searched but can't find anywhere to buy the old-style case which was much, MUCH better. Anyone know where you can get a padded gigbag or other hardcase for a 12 string parlour guitar?
That guitar sounds like a whole group of guitars playing together. Fantastic sound!
LEGENDARY!

Are the strings in unison or in octave?
The top two pairs are unison the others are octaves
