Thanks for a great tour of this Amazing village! If spending time in Graiguenamanagh , I highly recommend the kayak trip on the Barrow!!! Hosted by Pure Adventure it departs off the Quay landing near the scouting building. We had a great time and you travel through hand operated lock system from mid-1700s.
My grandfather was born and raised in Graiguenamanagh. He was born in 1902 to William Henry and May Vickers. This is the first video from the town that I came across. Thanks for sharing.
Where do you live now bryan? I'm from California but I visited Ireland back in 2013. I spent two nights I think in Graig after having arrived in Dublin. The day I checked out of the B&B in Graig, I was in a car accident near Kilkenny. Quite an Irish adventure!
We were just there in March 2020, but thankfully got to enjoy a night at Doyle's before all the pubs were shut down. A lovely little town...we even kayaked the Barrow that morning and paddled right past the diving board and under the bridge. Cheers!
Currently living there and have been my whole life it's a beautiful town vist the hub in graig stop of in the lock stock&barrow for a cup of tea and go to the boy sandy across from the girl sandy for a nice old swim it's beautiful and a lot of history behind it to my dad used to own the pub by the Quay
