I saw the 84 minute runtime and was like, "Oh shit, how could I forget the week that 50 games came out?" before realizing again how stupid I am.
For a moment I thought this was a compilation video, but you're right! Props to Jared and Dylan for their enormous effort to faithfully capture an absolutely-insane week of video game releases.
@@KorySutherlandYeah! It clearly took a bunch of work, Jared even had to shower and change shirts between batches of games!
You and me both if that makes you feel any better
I feel like I usually end up watching these anyway even though I've seen every single episode.
@@BriBCGYeah i love these episodes cuz i don't have to worry about that crappy editor that hates video games.
...
I know it's a lot of work but during these slow weeks it would be cool to see the weeks of the 90's that haven't been covered January 1990-march 1992
My hope is the show runs 10 full years so they can wheel it back around and Jared can be like "40 years ago, today" in 2030.
Now in the 90s is one of the videos I look forward to each week and making one this long is pretty amazing, I have a hard time making a 10-minute video let alone an hour haha.
Keep up the awesome content guys!
Bless you guys for the content every week!
93 was a chad year
It was certainly the 98 of its half of the decade.
@@trident042 Leon Kennedy voice: "1998...I'll never forget it".
I remember the Power Moves ads, so good! haha
Love this series.
THANK YOU GUYS for the compilation vids - helps me get through the work day - YOU ROCK!
Thank you 🙏🏾
Always love these compilations
1. Thank you for adjusting the volume in this video that I won't have to turn the volume to 100% (listening on phone).
2. Thank you for the awesome retro content.
3. Thank you for professional (Jared) watching experience & editing.
I appreciate you all and I'm thankful for this content.
👌❤️
(I truly hope ProJared sees this comment)
_Edit: Sry for bad grammar or sentence structure._
*Jared RREEEELLLY taps* into my 90"s era... *PERECTLY* to 💯+ ... I can't thank you enough, I wish I had grown up with this guy.
... ... .. Fk Gametrailers + Screw Attack = 💩
*Cool World is Roger Rabbit had a baby with Wayne's World...* I'm just saying...
Your experience with AeroBiz and AeroBiz Super Sonic were the same as mine. I even had a group of 2-3 friends who would get together and play it weekly multiplayer, with each of us taking care of our own airline on the same save file.
You guys are the best. For real
I watch every episode, so I don't need to watch them all again. But, here's a like, comment, and a "watch" while I go to sleep.
This content is way better than the Nintendo direct that are giving out now
“Do us a favor and plz finish this video before opening another tab” *checks run time*…what?!? 😜
Dang, this was a hell of a week!
Best video I've ever seen.
I’m just chuckling thinking about JVC of Japan deciding the name “I wonder….hmm.. yes.. we shall call it the wonder mega” another interjects “WONDER DOG!!”
Great year for hip hop
Fair to say none of the Terminator CD songs were done by Tommy until proven otherwise, given what we know now.
Lightening Force wasn't a port of Thunder Force IV (because it was originally released on the Mega Drive to begin with) but just a localization of Thunder Force IV with english text and a (misspelled) namechange. Other than that, it's the exact same game. Thunder Spirits on the other hand was a port of Thunder Force AC, an arcade version of Thunder Force based on Thunder Force 3 from the Mega Drive.
Lightening Force is what follows a meal from Taco Bell.
I saw some similarities between 25:55 and what Samus Aran would look like
Where does Bomberman take place?
the Bomber Nebula
The general setting of the Bomberman universe takes place in the Bomber Nebula, a far away distant galaxy. The protagonist of the series, Bomberman was a first robot of his kind who was tired of creating bombs in an underground factory in Bungeling Empire.
I'm once again, happy this all occurred in a far away distant galaxy.
[6:48] Oh wow, I never knew JVC stood for that, thanks!
They did make a California Games show. It was called Rocket Power.
9:10 that samus dude! And Castlevania converted to a bad comedy horror show kinda like Count Duckula, lmao
“Welcome to a bunch of game talk you have already heard before.”
Yep I’m watching a bunch of it. Again.
Oh jeez that zoobooks commercial brought back memories.
Nintendo nailed the light gun on the NES just to completely miss on the follow-up .
In case someone hasn't pointed it out yet (Not here to troll just saying in case anyone wants to play/finish Rise of the Dragon) it is available on GOG for 5.99 USD. Not sure if it has all the features of the Sega Saturn version but hey its there lol.
Nice
Some time from now, will there be a channel called "Now In The 2000's?" Hosted by some Gen-Z version of Jared? Would be kinda weird to see... because to me that's an era I still remember very vividly, like, it might as well have been a few years ago.
I always wondered how many games were made for that SuperScope as I also wonder how many were made for that the Sega Menacer. I remember my friends having both but only the games they came with
Dave Perry as famous he was for those games he went down when he appeared in a episode of the Uk gaming show GamesMaster. He got beat in Mario 64 by someone random guy and spat his dummy out on tv and i think unfortunately it stayed with him for a while
I wonder if the gold collection for Hillsfar on Steam still does the transfer stuff.
Also, Aerobiz Supersonic is one of my favorite games for Genesis, and yeah, I can't explain why I love it too. It's competitive, but like, on a business level. It makes you empathize with business owners, the only difference is, Aerobiz is fake and you never get personal profit.
You didn't mention Gabriel Knight : 1 (Sins of the Father) pc
Came out in June 1993
Used to play the hero Tonma arcade game in Germany.
As a Genesis kid, Flashback was a mic drop for which console was best. (Though of course now I'm polygamerous.)
Do we have all 4 seasons now? I feel like we skipped years and seasons. I think we needed fall 92
:0!!!
So this is a compilation?
I should break out Willy Beamish.

Damn I was just 4 years old😢.
I have decided to try and carry on for at least a few months since you're ending it. Presenting episode 1 of NEW in the 90's. ua-cam.com/video/cFG90Up4-44/v-deo.html
Why do people keep saying “content?” Just say VIDEO.
36:30 Geez, that kid is mega rich. They had him trotting home what... 30+ games? BlockBusters was literally the Boardwalk of video rental. Expect roughly $5 for a night (or maybe it was two at that price) of entertainment. Radical Richie Rich there rents around a hundred-fifty dollars for games... he can't even keep? Nah. The real secret of B-Busters was not to rent, but to buy. Man. They were always selling at some unbelievable prices and having those slight (or not at all) specials like buy two, get one free/half off type deals. (You know... like getting Clay Fighter (that super rare one) for $12! ...with the box.) I built such a library that way. But renting that stuff? Way too expensive.
And... if the right hands had done Dragon's Lair for the consoles. It was indeed possible. Because over in computer land on the Commodore 64, there was a decent attempt to port the arcade game, rather than cheesing it for some terrible side scrollers. If anything, it was like the game makers had 'traced' the real laser disc images and went from there. Far from perfect. But it went to 8-bit porting where the NES/S-NES cowered towards something... nightmarish.
Creepy
I've been wondering this... How come every Simpsons title between The Arcade Game and Hit 'n' Run are so bad?
Zoobooks was a disappointment. 3 page “magazine.”
All these shots at poor GamePro magazine.
