I'm also curious as to who would have written this, on that particular wall, who it was intended for, and what were they supposed to do with that information. Are there more that nobody has ever noticed? It's a puzzle and sometimes that alone gives purpose.
The mythology around Apollonius being Jesus makes even more sense when you remember Jesus is a Roman god. The Romans renamed all the Greek gods and demi-gods.

It was around 1905 that Aleistor Crowley and his wife were doing rituals in the great pyramid and were writing about related mythisism to this, worth checking out anyway.
He says the Book of the Law was written on April 8, 9, and 10 of 1904. The writing of the the Book of the Law was the result of the workings done in the Great Pyramid at the Equinox.
They didnt do rituals inside the great pyramid. They rented an apartment in Cairo where Crowley set up a temple room it was from there he attempted to invoke egyptian deities

Uni students, who had read Mead and Donnelly, formed a private fan club, and organized a group pilgrimage to the pyramid leaving this to commemorate their visit. Not dissimilar to fans of current pop culture who give themselves wizardly names and form groups to travel to locations important to their literary heroes.

Have you seen the follow-up video regarding Alistair Crowley and his time at the pyramids? Would not put it past his followers to be the author of the graffiti.
To me this video is annoying in what it proposes but does not really substantiate. Based on what? Some old discredited books and graffiti from 1905. There were thousands of characters name Apollo or Apollonius, or various iterations thereof. Some are mentioned in the New Testament. What is your thesis here? Has anyone explored the possibility that this graffiti is from Alister Crowley and Rose Kelly? They stayed in Cairo for their honeymoon in 1904 and I believe they stayed through March 1905 where they were inspired to create Thelema. They were deeply educated in the occult and they stayed at least one night in the Great Pyramid. I wonder what the celestial positions were on March 12, 1905? It may not have been just any old day to whoever left it.

did you ever find about this graffiti? I am not an expert but, iirc Alister Crowley visited Egypt in 1905 and that sure looks to me like his hand writing. Now granted I have not looked at such in some 30 years and sold the books I had on the subject but it does look to be his work.

It’s very interesting that the ancient drawing of the island of Atlantis clearly shows two prominent mountains (high points) that also appears to be represented on this wall right next to the subject graffiti - coincidence or not??
The problem is. Atlantis is usually dubbed older. This graffiti was likely put there in 1905. so there is absolutely no way that anyone in 1905 could be sure of Atlantis existing. And the only thing that person did is put into words and maybe into picture what was usually told about Atlantis. So it’s more a less someone being a parrot and repeating something.
That "ancient drawing" of Atlantis at 8:00 has script in Latin and the style of 16th century maps. Even if North is toward the bottom, Africa is shown to be south of Hispania. In addition two large islands are shown between Atlantis and America. Where are they? Face it: it's a speculative MESS.
Very interesting. I wanted to note that my Father gave me a limited special edition copy of The Secrets of All Ages. One of 500 printed in the 1980's. It's a hard copy that is about 2.5 ft tall, a foot wide, with full color illustrations. It cost $500.00 at the time. To much trust is put in Plato and his Atlantis..the bloke wrote about it hundreds of years after..that's like writing something about a myth 500 years ago and people believing it..it's a great story but it's got to be looked on as a story until anyone provides proof.
I would like to compare something like this and the bible to some Hollywood movies such as “Titanic” for example. These stories like the movie is based on a real event, but stories have a fictional element based on that real event.

I dont think Atlantis was what everyone says or thinks it is... There was a civilization living along (I forget the exact location and name) the black,.or Mediterranean sea. It was a large city,and had things other cities and civilizations didnt at the time. Well they got hit with a horrible earthquake which brought down many structures..But it was the giant Tsunami that totally took the city out,.along with its people. There are thought to be remnants left in the sea that is now 30 feet under water. This was close to Cypress and its thought Plato took the story of this event, and wrote about it in a fictional type of writing.. There was an expedition that went looking for the lost city. They only had a few days to find it and were plagued with mechanical anx equip failures much of the trip. They did manage to find a structure with side scan radar that by the scrutiny of a geologist that works for oil companies finding spots under the oceans for oil. He said the shape of the structure was not a natural formation... They made that find and had to leave as they were out of money for that trip... There is a documentary About it, I don't however remember the name
Here's an odd idea: maybe Atlantis just refers to a time period rather than a specific place. And "Atlantis" basically just means "pre-flood". Herodotus would be wrong, as would any historians who mistook the name to mean a specific place. They basically extrapolated and selectively translated their way into the story we know. This could be a common mistake that is thousands of years old. Sort of like today: people take one small bit of evidence and blow it up into giant conspiracy theories. Often based in a real fact but with too many assumptions built up around it to be considered factual anymore. Just a thought.

I don't think he first 2 words are names. I think I found something interesting but I have to dig a bit deeper. I thought I would try google translate to see what popped up with a few terms. And found a Italian word that looks like the first word which Tomba di = "tomb of" you can slightly see the D and I very faded. the second word translated to "glow red" or make red. I did a bit more searching with the second word down the rabit hole I went which lead me to the spelling "Rutile" I dont know how i got there but google results show it as a oxide mineral composed of titanium dioxide metal with a red streak. This is more then likely nothing and I wasted a few minutes of your time. apologies but It was fun doing a bit of detective work. ;) Im kind of dumbfounded that I found a link between the red glow and a red steak in ritilo I wonder if that metal was as some sort of catalyst. I think the pyramids in the desert the really big ones are actually Atlantis because there’s new discovery that the desert where the pyramids were was once water so it’s a possibility that’s why it’s in the pyramids because it was telling the story of what it was and also the huge underground city that was supposed to be in the pyramids was part of Atlantis but it was put underground because of the sand and everything that buried it that’s my theory

Bellow the base of the pyramid. A hallway leads from the entrance down while another leads up to the Queens chamber.I believe it was closed to the public for decades now. People used to go down there and listen to the reverberating sounds of people chanting in the upper chambers.
Do you know if there is anyone digitizing film negatives and old plates to create an archive of all possible old images pre-cleansing(s)? It would be amazing to have such a collection online. Scanning tech is such nowadays that we can retrieve an amazing level of detail from original image materials, somewhat like taking old movie film and audio tapes to remaster.
As you brought it up how about another go at Atlantis, I have seen a few reports in may have been around the Azores, sea levels have risen around 400ft after Younger Dryas and other impacts, I feel the Atlantis story is more of a distant tale relating to oral history, then written as fact much later, rocks on the sea bed need shallow water or dry land, and have been in much shallower water at some time, I feel many read the stories and take it as gospel, like 50 steps south, then dig 10 feet down, rather than this is much older oral history of an event. A bit like Hy-Brasil rumoured to be on Porcupine Bank,
You should do a video on the tomb of jesus in Srinigar in India. The associated paper work dates from about 50AD and includes a written statement by a man claiming to be jesus with alot of accurate details about his life and story similar to the bible, but with a few differences detailing what actually happened as opposed to the biblical story version which was distorted with misconceptions.
The graffiti could have been written by members of the Golden Circle like McGregor Mathers or Madame Blavatsky or other theosophists. I also thought that maybe Crowley could have been behind it, as other folk have suggested in the comments, but I would imagine that his ego and self promotion would have meant he would have signed it in some way.
Another mention of Atlantis comes from Isaac Newton in his Chronology of Ancient Kingdoms Amended. It is unfortunately not that popular compared to Plato or Donnelly, but considering how much he contributed to the development of science, it should get more attention.
Newton was a genius, no doubt, but he was a person who lived in his time. And at that time historians still took the Bible as a historical book and accepted uncritically what the Anciant Greeks and Romans wrote. But in his time Aristóteles, a Plato student and discípulo, had wrote Plato created Atlantic and himself a destroyed. I accept the modern thesis that says Atlantic legends had its origins in the sunk of the isla of Santorin in Crete, +-900 years before Plato. This doesn't mean that the thesis that civilization started in Sumeria and Egypt is correct.

What I do know, however, is that Plato seems to be on point with the dates when Atlantis "sunk" and the end of Younger Dryas. If he indeed made the story up, he got extremely lucky with the dates. And there has been research done which points toward a landmass/island getting drowned on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge because as a result of the YDI, sea levels rose 120 meters worldwide. The placement of this landmass/island matches with Plato's descriptions. Were there inhabitants on that landmass/island? There's only one way to find out.
@@umutcangun As far I know the Mid-atlantic being more than 1.5km deep could not be the place where Atlantic could have been located. I think that thesis formulated by Velikovsky that there might have been error in the reproduction of the original Writings by Plato that read 9000 for the original 900 years seems plausible. Also plausible is Charles Hapgood thesis in his book Maps of Ancients Sea Kings that Antarctic was located around the Equator and a contact between the Earth and a giant comet could have caused Antarctic to move to what is now the South Pole. But until they find remains of a city buried under the ice in Antarctic this is just especulation. At the end of the day I think Plato Atlantis is the sunk island of Santorin around the island of Crete. The fact that up to now they found no reference to Atlantic in the Egyptian hieroglyphs makes me believe oral legends about the sinking of Santorin around 1300BC is the source for Plato's Atlantis.

Have you seen the follow-up video regarding Alistair Crowley and his time at the pyramids? Would not put it past his followers to be the author of the graffiti.
To me this video is annoying in what it proposes but does not really substantiate. Based on what? Some old discredited books and graffiti from 1905. There were thousands of characters name Apollo or Apollonius, or various iterations thereof. Some are mentioned in the New Testament. What is your thesis here? That Jesus was Apollonius, or that the 1905 graffiti was written by and early 20th century Atlantis nerd? Sorry this really was click bait this time.

Has anyone explored the possibility that this graffiti is from Alister Crowley and Rose Kelly? They stayed in Cairo for their honeymoon in 1904 and I believe they stayed through March 1905 where they were inspired to create Thelema. They were deeply educated in the occult and they stayed at least one night in the Great Pyramid. I wonder what the celestial positions were on March 12, 1905? It may not have been just any old day to whoever left it.

It’s very interesting that the ancient drawing of the island of Atlantis clearly shows two prominent mountains (high points) that also appears to be represented on this wall right next to the subject graffiti - coincidence or not??

The problem is. Atlantis is usually dubbed older. This graffiti was likely put there in 1905. so there is absolutely no way that anyone in 1905 could be sure of Atlantis existing. And the only thing that person did is put into words and maybe into picture what was usually told about Atlantis. So it’s more a less someone being a parrot and repeating something.
That "ancient drawing" of Atlantis at 8:00 has script in Latin and the style of 16th century maps. Even if North is toward the bottom, Africa is shown to be south of Hispania. In addition two large islands are shown between Atlantis and America. Where are they? Face it: it's a speculative MESS.

There was a civilization living along (I forget the exact location and name) the black,.or Mediterranean sea. It was a large city,and had things other cities and civilizations didnt at the time. Well they got hit with a horrible earthquake which brought down many structures..But it was the giant Tsunami that totally took the city out,.along with its people. There are thought to be remnants left in the sea that is now 30 feet under water.
This was close to Cypress and its thought Plato took the story of this event, and wrote about it in a fictional type of writing.. There was an expedition that went looking for the lost city. They only had a few days to find it and were plagued with mechanical anx equip failures much of the trip. They did manage to find a structure with side scan radar that by the scrutiny of a geologist that works for oil companies finding spots under the oceans for oil. He said the shape of the structure was not a natural formation... They made that find and had to leave as they were out of money for that trip... There is a documentary About it, I don't however remember the name

Here's an odd idea: maybe Atlantis just refers to a time period rather than a specific place. And "Atlantis" basically just means "pre-flood". Herodotus would be wrong, as would any historians who mistook the name to mean a specific place. They basically extrapolated and selectively translated their way into the story we know. This could be a common mistake that is thousands of years old. Sort of like today: people take one small bit of evidence and blow it up into giant conspiracy theories. Often based in a real fact but with too many assumptions built up around it to be considered factual anymore. Just a thought.

I don't think he first 2 words are names. I think I found something interesting but I have to dig a bit deeper. I thought I would try google translate to see what popped up with a few terms. And found a Italian word that looks like the first word which Tomba di = "tomb of" you can slightly see the D and I very faded. the second word translated to "glow red" or make red. I did a bit more searching with the second word down the rabit hole I went which lead me to the spelling "Rutile" I dont know how i got there but google results show it as a oxide mineral composed of titanium dioxide metal with a red streak. This is more then likely nothing and I wasted a few minutes of your time. apologies but It was fun doing a bit of detective work. ;) Im kind of dumbfounded that I found a link between the red glow and a red steak in ritilo I wonder if that metal was as some sort of catalyst. Bellow the base of the pyramid. A hallway leads from the entrance down while another leads up to the Queens chamber.I believe it was closed to the public for decades now. People used to go down there and listen to the reverberating sounds of people chanting in the upper chambers.

Do you know if there is anyone digitizing film negatives and old plates to create an archive of all possible old images pre-cleansing(s)? It would be amazing to have such a collection online. Scanning tech is such nowadays that we can retrieve an amazing level of detail from original image materials, somewhat like taking old movie film and audio tapes to remaster.
As you brought it up how about another go at Atlantis, I have seen a few reports in may have been around the Azores, sea levels have risen around 400ft after Younger Dryas and other impacts, I feel the Atlantis story is more of a distant tale relating to oral history, then written as fact much later, rocks on the sea bed need shallow water or dry land, and have been in much shallower water at some time, I feel many read the stories and take it as gospel, like 50 steps south, then dig 10 feet down, rather than this is much older oral history of an event. You should do a video on the tomb of jesus in Srinigar in India. The associated paper work dates from about 50AD and includes a written statement by a man claiming to be jesus with alot of accurate details about his life and story similar to the bible, but with a few differences detailing what actually happened as opposed to the biblical story version which was distorted with misconceptions.

The graffiti could have been written by members of the Golden Circle like McGregor Mathers or Madame Blavatsky or other theosophists. I also thought that maybe Crowley could have been behind it, as other folk have suggested in the comments, but I would imagine that his ego and self promotion would have meant he would have signed it in some way.

Another mention of Atlantis comes from Isaac Newton in his Chronology of Ancient Kingdoms Amended.
It is unfortunately not that popular compared to Plato or Donnelly, but considering how much he contributed to the development of science, it should get more attention.
Newton was a genius, no doubt, but he was a person who lived in his time. And at that time historians still took the Bible as a historical book and accepted uncritically what the Anciant Greeks and Romans wrote. But in his time Aristóteles, a Plato student and discípulo, had wrote Plato created Atlantic and himself a destroyed. I accept the modern thesis that says Atlantic legends had its origins in the sunk of the isla of Santorin in Crete, +-900 years before Plato. This doesn't mean that the thesis that civilization started in Sumeria and Egypt is correct.

What I do know, however, is that Plato seems to be on point with the dates when Atlantis "sunk" and the end of Younger Dryas. If he indeed made the story up, he got extremely lucky with the dates.
And there has been research done which points toward a landmass/island getting drowned on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge because as a result of the YDI, sea levels rose 120 meters worldwide. The placement of this landmass/island matches with Plato's descriptions. Were there inhabitants on that landmass/island? There's only one way to find out.

@@umutcangun As far I know the Mid-atlantic being more than 1.5km deep could not be the place where Atlantic could have been located. I think that thesis formulated by Velikovsky that there might have been error in the reproduction of the original Writings by Plato that read 9000 for the original 900 years seems plausible. Also plausible is Charles Hapgood thesis in his book Maps of Ancients Sea Kings that Antarctic was located around the Equator and a contact between the Earth and a giant comet could have caused Antarctic to move to what is now the South Pole. But until they find remains of a city buried under the ice in Antarctic this is just especulation. At the end of the day I think Plato Atlantis is the sunk island of Santorin around the island of Crete. The fact that up to now they found no reference to Atlantic in the Egyptian hieroglyphs makes me believe oral legends about the sinking of Santorin around 1300BC is the source for Plato's Atlantis.
