      @BossWafflez They have to work 50+ hours a week, even more for bigger teams. They also have a lot of pressure because if they under perform they will lose the job. Tons of esports players bite the dust because its way too competitive. And I dont know what u mean by 'offending soyboys', say something coherent next time.

    "Then where is the money?" Lahey asked the golden question. As a Chiense American working in Asia the past ten years, it is all about scale. China has 1.4 billion people and many teenagers are gamers. The power niches in USA that sit at the throne are still MLB, NBA, and NFL. 🏆At the very end, personal branding KINGS make the most money like Ninja. Teams and tournaments are just platforms. Media coverage also plays a major role. King James for example crosses over to food, fashion, and media and this gives them more media opportunities. At the very end, we live in the ATTENTION economy. Those who can get our attention wins.

    He has a point. Basketball never changes and NBA rules barely change. A game made with competitive esports should follow what works and stop changing so often or releasing a brand new game every yr. Increases player burnout and its already hard enough on the body to not be active.
    Gaming industry needs to get the memo if they want to capitalize. Keep casual games that can change often separate from competitive esports games.

    Streamers need to make their schedule like a normal 8-5 job. Those that 24 hours weekly, are gonna hit a brick wall of depression. 8 hours streams are more than reasonable, you’ll still have a life, if you want to work weekends, you can.
    The other thing about being a streamer, is that you have to watch what you say at all times, because cancel culture is a real thing, especially with being a streamer. One minute you could be getting 14k viewers, and all of sudden you’re down to 1k. Sure that’s a lot, but financially and mentally that’s a disaster.

    • @skervenboireau4893

      That's all entertainers tho, and not all streamers have to keep it PG rated

    • @SalvadorXX98
      @SalvadorXX98 5 років тому

      But that’s no different than a daily vlogger or an instagram account. Maintaining engagement while preventing a burnout happens a lot in the entertainment/social media industry. Even a big actor has to weigh the pros and cons of being too accessible to the people for their own mental well-being. 8 hours streaming can still be more than exhausting if the only thing the chat is interested in is your personal life off stream. There’s no perfect formula that will work for every Internet personality.

    • @mattdajedi
      @mattdajedi 5 років тому +1

      You're literally a nobody and this makes no sense. Streamers make money from brand deals an sponsor ships. They can't make their own schedule because they are on the schedule of whoever is sponsoring them after the stream, such as meetings appearances interviews etc. All those small streamers you watch have bullshit jobs and stream after.
