I just picked up the 5" candle today. It looks so real and soothing just looking at it. Will work for candle lit dinners, for those who like to write by candlelight or just a night light . I like the 19 hour timer feature
you said double d :D that timer setting really makes me think i might try these out. that sounds really cool to have them come on roughly at "sexy time" without having to turn them on and make the whole thing seem planned, taking away from the spontaneity.
If you like this general idea, but can't afford the price, try the Mirage Candle from Costco. They're great. I paid $40 for five -- 2 5", 2 6" and 1 7""! They're wonderful and at this price you can afford to use them in several areas of your home.
I like the ‘wobbly plastic flame’ type (of which there are many copies now) but why o why do all the ‘solid led light’ types always do a light flickering effect that looks like it’s taken from a candle filmed on a roller coaster? Real candles do not flicker so extremely as to be annoying, so why do _all_ the electronic simulations?
We got Simple Elegance frameless candles very nice and realistic made with real wax and vanilla scented; it comes with remote and timer. Great products and it’s not expensive.
I have several Luminara candles and absolutely love them, however the first candle i purchased about 5 or 6 years ago stopped working, how do i repair it. Luminara is no longer selling this particular candle and it is beautiful and i do not want to discard it. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Sandye Sims I'm not sure I can help. It's possible it had just reached it's end of life if a simple battery replacement isn't working. There aren’t really any user serviceable parts inside.
Any idea what to do when you have new batteries in the candle but the flame keeps turning off? It will stay on for a minute and then turn off no matter the setting.
When my put my luminara candle on glass it makes wax marks how do I prevent this from happening if I don't want to use a glass plate to put it on does anything stick to the wax on the bottom
I can’t get my remote to work ?.. I tried a new battery still nothing plus the timer is not working properly The candle does go on ! Any ideas about above issues ? Any ideas
My disappointment comes with the recent purchase of the luminara candles, which are actually plastic and not wax. They actually look pretty darn good overall but the flame is to orange looking. We know that real Flames look Almost White and these have too much of an amber cast to them. I also own one that's been around for three or four years and the flame looks much whiter. I much prefer that. It doesn't dance around quite as much. It has a little more of a chill to it I guess you'd say, and again, the candle flame looks more white. I'm pretty disappointed that I cannot seem to find them in a whiter flame anymore. If you have any tips for me on how to find that style I would surely like to know. Thank you.
I don't have any tips other than to warn you and others that there are many counterfeit "Luminara" candles out there. Make sure you are buying a legit Luminara.
ours stopped working ... the light blinks rapidly but the plastic "flame" does not move. The batteries are fine ... i replaced them with new ones etc. Any ideas how to fix?
@@robhornbeck6394 I guess I'd just closely observe it and see if the wire can be bent slightly or moved somehow to prevent that from happening. It's hard to say without being able to actually see it.
I love this review. It's the best one I've seen so far. Now I know what candles I want to go out and buy. Great job!
Excellent review and explanation of how they work! I've seen these around, but never knew how they worked. Thanks!
I own some Luminaras and agree with you. Most realistic flame I've ever seen, and I love the timer.

I'm still amazed by the realism of these Luminara candles.
This is the best video about these candles that I've seen. Nicely done!
Couldn’t work out what the mechanism of the movement was, and it was cooler than anything I had come up with. Thanks for the explainer!

thank you. the luminara candles are a rip at $40 each
Bath and body works had these as part of the decor. They used double sided tape and wrapped the bottom with twine.
They are quite mesmerizing from a distance. Nearly impossible to tell if they are real candles or Luminara.

Lumibear I know what you mean. It’s probably due to poor engineering of the electronics and the quest to make the candle as cheaply as possible.

Please tell me how to open the remote to change the batteries.
The diagram is confusing and doesn't work in any direction

How do I set the remote to come on.? Tkd

@@stefanidimauro9040 I’m sorry but I don’t have any ideas about that.
Thank you for sharing your review! I'm looking for the best flameless candles for my Mom for Mother's Day and seeing this was immensely helpful! ✌❤😊
Renee, just make sure you get the real deal Luminara and not a cheap Chinese imitation.
Where to buy them?
Can you tell me how to make the remote work?
That’s the million dollar question
Thank You Soo Much ..!! For All the Great info evrything i needed to know😊👍🏼👍🏼
I have one that does not light. Any solutions?
I purchase D batteries but they don't fit. Can you tell the brand and size of the batteries you used please?
Maybe your candles use C cells?
Thank you for your assistance.
When my put my luminara candle on glass it makes wax marks how do I prevent this from happening if I don't want to use a glass plate to put it on does anything stick to the wax on the bottom
I guess that's what wax candles do. You could put a paper coaster under it. You might have to cut it to size.
I have a couple of Luminara candles where the “wick” has detached. Is there a way to reattach it?
I have a luminara candle -the timer did not work .. stayed on all night - and the batteries are new . What do you think was the problem ?
Maybe you weren't pointing the remote directly at the right area of the candle?
I can’t get my remote to work ?.. I tried a new battery still nothing plus the timer is not working properly
The candle does go on !
Any ideas about above issues ?

I don’t really have any suggestions other than perhaps the remote is broken. The remotes that they provide are not that great.
I have those candles luminous candles but they're not working there's no corrosion put new batteries and the light won't light what can I do
Hard to say what the problem is. If they are Luminara brand, I'd contact them.
I turn my candle to the on position and after a few minutes it goes out. Can you help me?
Thanks for disassembling it. That was helpful. The wire holding the frame in my candle broke. Do you think there's a way to fix that?
It might be fixable but I haven't a clue how difficult it might be to do so,
Those are actually pretty neat.

Great review man!
Do you remove the plastic wrapped around the entire candle
Yes. It's just there for protection of the wax during shipping.
Can the led bulb be changed?
Not as far as I know.
Love these candles but have a problem w one which does not flicker steady, it's a very stop & go flicker. Do you have any idea what is wrong?
I don't. You'd be advised to contact Luminara directly.
Was gifted one of these candles, however I am allergic to scents. Can I somehow remove the vanilla scent from this wonderful candle?
Sheri Ransom I do not know how you could possibly remove the sent from a wax candle. So I would have to say no.
ours stopped working ... the light blinks rapidly but the plastic "flame" does not move. The batteries are fine ... i replaced them with new ones etc. Any ideas how to fix?
+Larry Reinstein Sounds like an electical component has failed. Is it still under warranty? I'd contact Luminara directly.
sounds like it's supposed to run dc, but for whatever reason get ac current, though that speed flickering wouldn't really be visible to the human eye
Love this candle! Thinking ahead-How do you replace the led bulb?
Teresa lehman As far as I know there is no way to replace the LED.
Leds last years
Mine will not turn on! Besides the battery any ideas?
No ideas come to mind other than to contact Luminara for support.
where do you buy this candle 4" x 9" , can't find on web
steve evans I’d start at the Luminara website
I turn mine on in like five minutes they go off can you help me?
Nancy Lihs There should be two settings, continuously on, or timed settings. Have you checked to make sure your batteries are fresh?
Reviews, Tutorials & Tech it must’ve been a battery issue. Thank you
I put the batteries in but can’t get the candle to light
Did you actually find "Double D" batteries? That might be the problem... ROFL
Does the wax melt?
Draw with me It certainly could. It’s wax. You have to treat it just like you’d treat a normal wax candle.
@@michaelerbreviews Thanks a lot!
Luminara are fantastic candles but a little too much in terms of pricing for me :)
MAY I KNOW THE PRICE OF THESE CANDLES.
How to unstick the wick?
I'd need a little more info on what the problem is.
@@michaelerbreviews The wick moves back and forth and constantly gets stuck in the back part of the flame hole on the candle.

Awesome!
looks good!
You wouldnt happen to work for Luminara , would you ?
No. Why would you think that?
Double D batteries... ROFL.. Got something on your mind?
You're not the first person to bring that to my attention.
"powered by two double-D batteries"...huh? (0:27)
Yeah, it was a verbal blunder.
Flameless led candle light life up!
“2 Double D” where’s this guys mind at🤣
Right. Guy must be crazy. Or maybe he just made a minor faux pas for which he begs forgiveness.
@@michaelerbreviews 😂😂😂
Realistic however they break
I’ve had mine for over seven years. Haven’t broken yet.
Ghastly expensive! And there are far less expensive versions now avail
Right. Luminara are not cheap. There is no shortage of cheap imported knock-offs.
