Boat guy here. Your trim was actually correct for getting out of the hole on plane but when you were on plane you can see you're bow driving the wake. Once on plane if you could have trimmed up a little it would have risen the bow a little higher and created less surface area contact with the water. Basically lifting the front half out of the water. I agree about 50mph NA and once it's turbo'd you guys are going to push 75 and that is straight scary with that little of a boat. You guys really need to be consulting with Finnegan because there are safety issues with jet boats and that speed...
you can tell from the video towards the end the boat is trimmed too low. once they get that and the poly on I wouldn't be surprised if they pick up 10mph or more. My brother has a 18 foot I/O boat wtih a 5.3 truck motor in it. when he gets on plane there is about 12-18 inches of the hull in the water. significantly less drag that way.
If you turbo it, you might want to invest into some boat trim tabs. They have automatic ones, but they will hopefully prevent the boat from flipping backwards which for a small boat and plenty of acceleration can. This will keep the boat on plane or try to at best because nothing is perfect. lol stay safe and have fun
Would be interesting to put a coolant/water pressure sensor on the engine and see when you the boat is at speed does the pressure of the coolant/water increase. edit: Just saw in the video you guys already thought of the pressure sensor
The faster the jet pump impeller spins the more engine water pressure the pump will make. They already did the best thing by over sizing the water outlet to relieve all the pressure
I like the safety commitment with everyone in pfd cleetus dose so many boat videos without any life saving devices worn. That's honestly a basic legal boat safety requirement. I won't even take my kayak out on a calm lake without my pfd on for safety.

You ever have that moment while watching a video where you realize "dam they have came a long way, I've been watching them for years" etc. Went from watching Kyle mess around in a Honda Civic to picking up speed boat exhaust in a porsche lol my dude made it 💪🏽
The wind shield certainly leaves something to be desired . It certainly gives a very very utilitarian work boat appearance . It certainly lacks the appearance of any pizzaz . If I had this boat , the first thing that I would do is to remove that whole windshield and replace it with a nice smoothly contoured rounded aluminum windshield frame with a plexiglass green tinted windshield . It would most certainly give a much much more summer speedboat appearance that would eventually be much more saleable to the boating community .
29:52 Actually you could trim it up a little more so the nose is higher. less boat in the water more speed. with people in the back it would do the same. you can know if your trimmed right by the beginning of the water spray from the side of the boat. Spray Should Start Behind Half Way On Plane
the splashing during plane is still ahead of the hull 50% mark. still lots of potential improvements. move CG aft and/or adjust nozzle trim to reduce plowing,

You guys really need to be consulting with Finnegan because there are safety issues with jet boats and that speed...
you can tell from the video towards the end the boat is trimmed too low. once they get that and the poly on I wouldn't be surprised if they pick up 10mph or more. My brother has a 18 foot I/O boat wtih a 5.3 truck motor in it. when he gets on plane there is about 12-18 inches of the hull in the water. significantly less drag that way.
bíy whaler 18 range v 8 jet drive
Small cabinn crusers draft
Searay 18 17 foiter io diw 36 inches
42 mph is barefoot skiing. Anything after that is high speed gravy! Congratulations on the the jet boat build!
buy ektrc ski bóat
you can get some nice wide tires & wheels for that axle that will give it better weight capacity and smoother towing.
That thing is going to be superbad with a lil turbski. Be damn proud Boiz, them things aren't a small purchase much less to go BoostedBoiz style.💯👍
I like the safety commitment with everyone in pfd cleetus dose so many boat videos without any life saving devices worn. That's honestly a basic legal boat safety requirement. I won't even take my kayak out on a calm lake without my pfd on for safety.
Of course you won’t
Split header with dual exhaust pipes would be sick
And sound terrible
@@Vanadinit3 yeah not really, 9k rpm ripping it would sound pretty cool.
@@Vanadinit3 it sounded great the last start up video they had with two exhausts
It sounded so beastly on the TT exhaust.
Need grab handle for passengers, Probably restrict water flow to bring engine temp up to normal operating temps. Lookin good guys.
Just put a turbo on it. You are going to wish you did the first time you put 4 people in it. You guys were already sending it. Never the less, i love this thing and always look forward to watching. Ty sirs.
You ever have that moment while watching a video where you realize "dam they have came a long way, I've been watching them for years" etc. Went from watching Kyle mess around in a Honda Civic to picking up speed boat exhaust in a porsche lol my dude made it 💪🏽
Ese Motor K24 a Sido todo un éxito para HONDA 😮🤟🏻
Eltric 24 kw batery
I was expecting to see it in the swimming pool! 😅 Great guess on the top speed.
Congratulations on the maiden voyage, K swap the water 💦 👏👏👏👏👏🫡
Kyle: I’m gonna build a 2.5 ft straight pipe
Also Kyle: hopefully it won’t be too loud
Everyone: 🤔?
nope biy searàyc260 sundacer ysgh jet drive
Looks good 👍 now all you need is a nice Size turbo and you’re ready for more power 😂
A boat this small I wouldn’t want much more power.
Needs the turbo asap
29:52 Actually you could trim it up a little more so the nose is higher. less boat in the water more speed. with people in the back it would do the same. you can know if your trimmed right by the beginning of the water spray from the side of the boat. Spray Should Start Behind Half Way On Plane
Put some sound deadening pads in there and that will damper the tinnie vibration noise.
Yall have to race the boat against grind hard plumbing co.'s snowmobile jet boat theyre building
dude this thing is gonna be so fast once it's boosted
I'm just trying to figure out how your gonna test drive this thing to taco bell?
They’ll probably be in the boat, with Brent towing the trailer.
the splashing during plane is still ahead of the hull 50% mark. still lots of potential improvements. move CG aft and/or adjust nozzle trim to reduce plowing,
Yessssssss. So stoked to see that thing on the water
That moving shot at 30 mins was so nice, boating, storm in the background..Good camera work
they hybrsd rangec30 mints 5 moh 2.5 rabge hyber 2.4 jw
This whole video is straight goals! Keep it up boizzzzz!
S. S. Klownfish! love it! glad you got it going cant wait to see it turbo!
Might want to put some triptabs on it too. They really help out of the hole!
At this point in the build its delightfully ghetto yet so professional.
That boat is going to absolutely fly
