Ironically the most classic deck (miner poison cycle) is the one that gets the hardest matchups than the other decks

The "no Hog Rider and Mega" is so funny. Evolutions and champions and all the actually broken cards are there, but not the midladder menace that is the Mega Nut

This is actually one of the most luck dependent challenge. Even the original classic deck requires a little bit more skill than this. Decks like giant or golem beatdown easily get annhilated by PEKKA. Royal Giant is countered by almost every deck since it just sucks

Maybe next time they do a challenge like this you can choose what deck you play between a bunch of preset ones so you could get used to it and hard counters aren't from a simple coin toss
But then it becomes more like rock paper scissors, since people will say one deck is best so someone picks counter, but then someone counters the counter. It’s like a more complicated mega draft or something

Thing is, even though beatdown will never be meta again, golem beatdown is the only deck i consistently won with in the challenge. Compare that to recruits arrow bait that i got twice and lost both times.

where RNG shet on us f2p players, we lose after 3 wins.
And some challenges like dagger duchess event was so easy without any losses, played as an f2p.

My everyday experience as a F2P Player (Beating hard counters left and right)
I dont think the game is as rps as people say it is. Atleast below top 1k in UC like even if the matchup is 100,0 it can be won because players make misplays a lot. For example I play Giant Sparky in UC and often beat people with rocket, monk, inferno towers which are supposed to be hard counters but the people just dont know how to play the cards. If you are below top 1k in UC, bad matchup is not a thing and you are just making excuses for your lack of skill

Saying Beatdown will never come back just a season after it was meta is a weird take. If you buff cycle counters, like DD, Beatdown will come back.
