My wife asked me. why do you watch these two guys all the time you don't even drink that often? I told her I came for the whiskey stayed for Daniel and Rex lol
Holy crap my wife is the same. Every day I come home and turn on that days episode. She's like all you do is watch that bald guy with the ugly beard and that funny guy when you come home. I tell her they're my friends and they're cool. :EYEROLL:
I don't care what anybody says the regular Telmour dew is f*cing awesome. Last week I had the chance to try a few different whisk(e)ys back to back (one of which was the gentleman jack which I didn't like to much) and I really liked it (it was the polar opposite of the jack)
I'm about 60 miles from Yosemite; have a friend coming to visit in a couple of months. Can't wait to see her reaction to the Tunnel View, it's pretty special
Rex, I suspect you don't want to admit it, but you actually have learned a hell of a lot, and your tasting comments are actually totally excellent now. You are like a respectable member of society now, or something... You're actually really good. Cheers!
Yo Rex! From one video guy to another, you should totally ND those back windows so we can see the rumored amazing views... just a suggestion, but if you’re like me, you got all the gel just laying around. Stay dolphin smoothe!
Dont forget the Tullamore DEW Trilogy. Malted+unmalted barley, plus grain whiskey. Triple distilled. Sherry+american oak casks, finished in golden rum casks. Crazy good. Its TOO easy to drink.
Any chance you'll ever do some glasses with some air vents on the front, Dean? They look interesting for cycling but without venting I can only imagine how much I'd fog them up.
Since i have subscribed to you guys i have decided to explore whiskey myself. Since then i have had crown royal apple, gentleman jack, jack Daniel's tennessee honey (im from tennessee area, gotta represent), monkey shoulder, and now i have a bottle of Angel's envy. I have also decided i would like to create my own miniature whiskey vault. Sadly starting it there seems to be more empty bottles than full ones.
So im looking for a suggestion. I have spent about $300 purchasing different scotches looking for what i really like. I have a bunch, , but the key ones are laphroig 10, lagavulin 16 and highland park 12. What i really want is something halfway between the highland park and the lagavulin in terms of peatyness. Any suggestions?
Would you guys consider doing a review for the Russell's Reserve Single Barrel bourbon (110 proof)? I've had the Wild Turkey 101, the 81 Rye, the Rare Breed and the Russell's Reserve 10 year, with the Rare Breed being my favorite. I love the mapley/butterscotchy/honey-like taste with a strong punch of a finish (higher proof is usually a preference of mine) and I want to try the Russell's Reserve Single Barrel!! I've tried the Blanton's and the Buffalo Trace and Maker's 46, etc, etc and I do enjoy them, but the thing I find interesting is that Wild Turkey stands out to me because of the kicking finish. Typically bourbons with less than 90 proof, while enjoyable, just don't stand out as much to me. Would love to see a video on the Russell's Single Barrel as I have seen videos on these other whiskies! Love watching your videos!
I turn 25 this year and want to celebrate with a good whisky. I thought it would be cool to get a bottle that was distilled the year I was born (1993). However I don’t know if a 25 year old whisky will be from that year. How can I tell when the whisky was made/distilled/bottled? Example I would like a Bowmore 25 or something like it but can’t find the year on it.
Doing great guys ..I'm still excited for a review of Jesse from Still It .. his bastard whiskey... I just started my ujssm ...I want to know if I'm doing a good thing
If you want to know what happened to the regular Tullamore Dew you had, go back and rewatch the "How To Drink Whiskey" episode (the 3rd one, I believe) on the Whiskey Biscuits channel.
I have the opposite feeling when seeing the San Joaquin Valley, but I guess it’s because I live here, so when we’re returning from LA and coming down the Grapevine I’m like blah!
Dude, Rex's hair is really starting to make him look like that ancient aliens guy ... Could it be that what he thought was his "spirit animal" was actually extraterrestrials and his mooching powers came from a highly advanced civilization rather than what he thought was a magical bird?
does single malt irish taste very diffrent from scottish single malt? i heard bushmills original is like 55% malt and that blackbush is 80% ,i only tasted the white but it did not have any single malt dominance and tasted more like a typical blend with perhaps 10% malt and i can only imagine the black is not that much different ,it was hard to believe it has that much malt content unless irish malt is so different than what ive tasted in single malts
Stephen. Stephen is "the Irish guy" in Braveheart. What's sad is that I immediately went with "Patrick", and was pulling the film up on IMDb when my brain went "No, dummy.... it's Stephen. Patrick would have been too much of a cliche!"
So I've noticed that I can smell the difference between subtly different whiskeys but not taste the difference (tested blindly, it's legit). By subtly different, I mean different wheated bourbons, different bourbons with different ages from the same distillery, different peated scotches, etc. Anyone else have this experience?
TheMasterfulcreator well I still have trouble telling like-whiskeys apart. Like you could line up a rack of bourbons or a rack of scotches that aren’t smoke and it would be real hard for me to pick out what’s what even with back and forths. Usually my favorites are the ones that I can tell real fast like Monkey Shoulder and Four Roses.
I recently moved from Ohio to Arizona. In Ohio, I was used to state liquor stores with affordable single malt scotch. In Arizona, state liquor stores are not a thing. Bottles of Ardbeg 10 that I could once get for $40 to $45 are now upwards of $90 at every liquor store I've been to. Does anyone know where to get affordable Scotch in the Phoenix area?
Adam Cicigoi I live in Chandler/Gilbert and I find Total Wine is your best bet simply because they have the volume of sales to have a good selection and lower prices.
Checked out the Flying Eye website.. i think they need to update their "As Seen In" section on the home page to show The Whiskey Vault... just saying lol
I don’t think it’s appropriate for the “magnificent bastard” name animation to include the eagle or the eagle sound effect... you know... since Rex killed the Eagle spirit by punching it in the d!ck. Poor form. We all mourn the Eagle (and the mooch title) and don’t need this painful reminder. Maybe change to a bear sound effect and replace the eagle with a different spirit animal?
I thought for sure you were going to rant about being a patriot, and then it took a magnificent turn there at the end. How do you feel about Hedgehogs?
Got a thumbs down from me for them starting to do outside the whisky sphere product placement and advertisement. I'm not being cute or funny, I'm genuinely concerned with where this is going to go now that the precedent has been set.
I think you're worrying way too much about it.. It's just 2 guys drinking whiskey.. and just because they endorse something - doesn't mean that they're advertising because even if they were - they didn't even know the name of the product, which in the advertising world.. is not good advertising.
Again, who thought that "Big head on thumbnail" trend would be funny and edgy? Just looks stupid. If you want to show bigger faces maybe zoom in the whole shot?
chill. it was an unplanned / random thing D thought was cool. didn't even remember the right name. apparently chad put it on the screen to correct us. there's plenty of other channels, Wes. not interested in your puritanical content standards (see what I did there Cardinal Smith?).
Rex, your hair is on point. Daniel, yours is... on your chin. Looking good guys!
#hairforhobbits
10 or of 10 for hobo hair do for the stars!
My wife asked me. why do you watch these two guys all the time you don't even drink that often? I told her I came for the whiskey stayed for Daniel and Rex lol
did you get an eye-roll? I bet you got an eye-roll. haha
Holy crap my wife is the same. Every day I come home and turn on that days episode. She's like all you do is watch that bald guy with the ugly beard and that funny guy when you come home. I tell her they're my friends and they're cool. :EYEROLL:
yeahhh also with me.... just answer her, maybe i should drink more often then!! :P
Truth
I don't care what anybody says the regular Telmour dew is f*cing awesome. Last week I had the chance to try a few different whisk(e)ys back to back (one of which was the gentleman jack which I didn't like to much) and I really liked it (it was the polar opposite of the jack)
Bence Vörös can confirm.
I agree. It’s my go to regular.
It really is a terrific bang for you're buck whiskey!
It's my brand of choice. I like my whisky like I like me women, Irish.
Yogi Bear was in Jellystone referencing Yellowstone, not Yosimite. Just wanted to get that out there boo boo. Another great video.
hahahah. oops. totally true
Cheers!
I'd watch a video of Daniel organizing the vault! It would be neat to see the logic behind the Daniel Decimal System.
You guys have the maturity of the age of the whisky you drink. Slàinte!
I agree Yosemite is a beautiful place. I actually learned to swim at one of the campgrounds there
I love Irish whiskey as I say,"Dew the Dew." Tullamore Dew is a great whiskey neat!!!
Yo Rex! From one video guy to another, you should totally ND those back windows so we can see the rumored amazing views... just a suggestion, but if you’re like me, you got all the gel just laying around. Stay dolphin smoothe!
Hey, Dad - have you seen my sun-glasses?
No, Son. Have you seen my dad-glasses?
Dont forget the Tullamore DEW Trilogy.
Malted+unmalted barley, plus grain whiskey.
Triple distilled.
Sherry+american oak casks, finished in golden rum casks.
Crazy good. Its TOO easy to drink.
That sounds incredible. I'll have to look for that next trip to the liquir store!
Hola guys!!! Almost at 100,000!! For sure by Monday.
Yosemite Park is beautiful. Glacier Point drops your jaw, one hell of a reward for the climb.
I'm a fan of the D.E.W., hoping that when they get around to their bottom shelf show it's on there as well.
Any chance you'll ever do some glasses with some air vents on the front, Dean? They look interesting for cycling but without venting I can only imagine how much I'd fog them up.
Last time I was this early my boss kindly gave me a nod of appreciation.
just bought the tullamore dew standard..it is excellent flavour and boquet aroma..very pleased with this irish whiskey
You should try Slane Irish whiskey 🥃 made at Slane castle in Ireland 🇮🇪
Since i have subscribed to you guys i have decided to explore whiskey myself. any favorites yet?
you've inspired me. looking for my for bottle of MS
I find that the Single Malt Irish to be more interesting than the blended. Busker's is a great way to test that.
So im looking for a suggestion. I have spent about $300 purchasing different scotches looking for what i really like. I have a bunch, , but the key ones are laphroig 10, lagavulin 16 and highland park 12.

Some companies make special releases and put the date on it - like Bruichladdich has a few that they put the year on it I think
Caleb Richards try looking on master of malt, they have a search function for special dates. You can see what’s available there and then shop around.
Did Rex just wake up from sleeping on the floor? 🤔😂🥃
I’d like to see you guys review a rot gutt whiskey like Black Velvet, Or R&R lol. But love you’re guy’s videos. Just subscribed todat
Doing great guys ..I'm still excited for a review of Jesse from Still It .. his bastard whiskey... I just started my ujssm ...I want to know if I'm doing a good thing
I'm going to Yosemite next week! 3 weeks of west coast :D. Visiting from Belgium =)
Holy bed head Rex! Love the close up shot on the bottles great video as always. Cheers

Would be cool to see a comparison between Tullamore dew 18 and Jameson 18
Whatever happend to Rex's pre-drink predictions? We should bring those back lol
have you guys tried whisky with salt?, could be a video i read an article about it,not tried it myself yet
You guys could have compared it to the Bushmills Green label instead of the Black.
The OCD side of me always worries about one of you guys knocking the whiskey off that tiny table. :o
Who is austin carrys tullamore 18? Can't find it at spec's or total.
Wait, where did Daniel go hiking?
How about a review of Tullamore Dew 14yr?
If I get those glasses will it help me see the flavors? And also make friends?
Can you do a review on Second Glance American Whiskey?
Stephen. Stephen is "the Irish guy" in Braveheart. What's sad is that I immediately went with "Patrick", and was pulling the film up on IMDb when my brain went "No, dummy.... it's Stephen. Patrick would have been too much of a cliche!"
Didn't you use all the normal Tullamore Dew on that one Biscuit episode with the leaf blower?
yah, not the 18 though.
With those glasses, you two could pass for the Blues Brothers !
Or the Brews Brothers ???
How much is all the whiskey in the vault worth? I’m planing the heist of the year.
its cursed. not worth the danger. but if you do follow through with a heist, bring the whiskey to me. (for curse removal)
The sunglasses are called Flying Eyes.
100k Whiskey review soon (99K atm of post)! Anything special planned?
Can you do a review on glenffdich 14 yr
Daniel on a Harley...lol Do they make a scooter?
I have always wondered what the opening tune on these videos reminded me of. It's sort of similar to the Frasier opening tune. Pointless comment #548
WHY ISN'T REX TALKING AT THE END OF THE EPISODE!? I feel so lost.
No comment reading today?

An Irishman can tell you to go to Hell in a way that makes you look forward to the trip.
I wish my hair was that cool...
Sounded like Daniel went to the western part of Norway. Google it, you won’t be prepared for that either I’ll tell ya!
"I'll pie me a piper
I'll cull me a crew
Just pour me a dram
Of that Tullamore Dew."
Edit: finish 'green curl'
If someone told me "all I have is Tullamore Dew...", I am sure to respond, "Yes, yes, of course...."
Lovin that hair Rex. Lol
how many people actually googled "dean's glasses"?
I get a hint of pineapple
Yellowstone (Jellystone).
878 to go
What is green and has wheels?
Grass. I lied about the wheels.
Checked out the Flying Eye website.. i think they need to update their "As Seen In" section on the home page to show The Whiskey Vault... just saying lol
Daniel kicking a whiskey bottle 5:58 how disrespectful.
Daniel is Pretty Fly for a White Guy.
ok, is it me? the focus still seems off
1028 to go....

Hedgehog is appropriate while we morn the Eagle.
You magnificent BASTARDS!
How are there 2 thumbs down already? Hasn't even been enough time to watch the video in full yet. Is it just the "cool" thing to do? Such losers.
Greg B Rex is one of those thumbs down...
I......I still stand by my statement hahahahaha
The other Guy shows how much I know haha
Got a thumbs down from me for them starting to do outside the whisky sphere product placement and advertisement. I'm not being cute or funny, I'm genuinely concerned with where this is going to go now that the precedent has been set.

Finishing an 18yo whisky is an admission of it not being good enough to bottle without finishing it. That always makes me sad.
1st!!!!
Christina Zirpoli You're fast Zirpoli!
good work kid
There will be no slacking on this day!

Again, who thought that "Big head on thumbnail" trend would be funny and edgy? Just looks stupid. If you want to show bigger faces maybe zoom in the whole shot?
My first thumbs down for the Vault. So, product placement is a thing now......
This entire show is literally nothing but product placement... every single epissode.
It's just a shoutout, bro. ::shrug::
chill. it was an unplanned / random thing D thought was cool. didn't even remember the right name. apparently chad put it on the screen to correct us. there's plenty of other channels, Wes. not interested in your puritanical content standards (see what I did there Cardinal Smith?).

An does The Whisk(e) Vault, Daniel, also hold this view that Wes gets the boot?
