Designed by Naval Architect, Ed Monk, with structural engineering by Tim Nolan and fluid dynamics by Ed Hagemann, the Nordlund Xpress LT 57 is a unique boat. She combines traditional styling with light-weight, high-tech composite construction to create a vessel that is fast, strong and remarkably efficient.
The builder, Nordlund Boat Company, typically produce custom superyachts, so they are no strangers to quality. They brought that expertise to bear in every aspect of this craft. From water-tight compartments to Belgian fabrics, their craftsmanship is apparent.
If you're looking for a boat that is fast enough to race to the islands, strong enough to cruise Alaska in safety, and do it all without guzzling fuel, you owe it to yourself to view this fine vessel.
She's equipped with Caterpillar C9 engines with a top speed of 30 knots and is stabilized.

As soon as he said it was designed by Ed Monk... he had my full attention
We used to own a Sabre 36 Pilothouse Express. This Nordlund Yacht is the expression of what the Sabre could be if it were a 57. Very well executed.
Very very nice design super big love the rooms love the wheel house nice showing

Thanks for posting this! This vessel was docked here in Campbell River a number of years ago, and I immediately fell in love with her. Since then I've tried on numerous occasions to find out more about her, but found nothing on Nordlund's site or anywhere else . I can now rest.
A beautiful boat! The design of the exterior as well as the interior is really craftsmen like. Something to keep in mind if the lottery is ever had.
Amazing engineering
Absolutely!
Great engineering, superb build!
My husband and i own a 2008 Catalina Morgan 440, given to us by my father when we got married, and we are heading to Vancouver next week to go look at a 60 foot schooner with a ice rated steel hull being sold by a now bankrupt research company that had it built for expeditions.. We have already had her inspected and the hull needs repairs as well as everything else, but with the price being pennies on the dollar, we expected as much and we will make this a labor of love.. I am actually super excited!.. I actually came to your channel to see if you have sailboats, but this was a pretty boat so distracted me.. We want to sell the Catalina and get something a bit more modern that is ice rated that 2 people can sail, if need be.. Great channel and lovely vessel!
You know there's going to be trouble if you talk about that boat and don't provide us with some vids. It would be cool to see the ship on delivery and follow the refitting. Good luck :)
So your buying a sailboat to go with your schooner?
I would suggest checking out catamarans. From what I know (which isn’t very much) they are supposed to be really easy to sail short handed. They have a lot of other cool features too, like they don’t list over like mono hauls do.
@@barryfields2964 And they have much more room.
Jack Manley yes that’s another great advantage. That would have been the next thing I would have brought up, but I was trying to keep my comment short.
Let's get to 500k baby!
What a stunning, beautiful, well designed and unique yacht! Thank you Tom for this nice view. I wish I could. I love the speed and the slow capabilities, the low profile and the excellent pilothouse. From the video I can see it look great as shown, low, I wonder if the dingy on top makes it a bit bulky. Anyway, great presentation!
Very, very nice. Thank you.
Very thoughtful interior layout of rooms n galley below the helm.👍
Yes, they did an excellent job with this vessel.
I wish I could take it out of the screeen and keep it omggggg it’s Soooo unique
It Planes!!!!!!!!!
Edit ... I want to see the bottom, it looks like a PT boat with continual deadrise. It wants to get up with a slight boost from the modest hp of the engines. Tell me more!
fuel capacity/range, best cruise speed?
810 gallon tank. "On a recent sea trial, we ran the boat at around 26 knots at 2500 RPM and burned 58 GPH. Dialing the speed back to 20 knots the fuel burn dropped to 34 GPH, and then at 15 knots it went down to 20 GPH."
Wow, just been watching a Nordhavn cruising at 6 knots using 3 gallon an hour
@@ianmangham4570 excellent point, drop the speed even more and get some real distance.
@@zhp500 And always remember if you ain't going far then only have half a tank of gas so the boat is lighter 👍🙏
I really wish you would give us bridge clearances, especially on these customs. Many manufacturers don't list it in specs either.
Very nice... kind of a speed boat yacht... give up some space and amenities for speed.
I missed the dining area.
@@DenisonYachting Cool.
It could use a paint job on the exterior, but besides that, great boat!
30 knots is really moving
No kidding!
I've seen this boat in Marina Del Rey. Nice...
Has a tug boat feel to the look.
Are you serious?????
What's a trawler?
A slow, long-range cruiser (power) boat. They typically cruise at 8-10 knots.
Looks like a Dettling
“Let’s talk about performance” and not mention fuel capacity, fuel burn at cruise, or range
If he is in any way trying to imply this boat is worth $3 Million, he’s dreaming.
This is an 800k boat....tops.

Fantastic boat but please lose the awful armchairs.
It looks like a mishmash of ideas, was it built by a comittee who couldnt agree what it should be?
Like they took a bunch of good ideas from a bunch of different boats, and put them all into one boat. I don’t see anything wrong with that.
@@barryfields2964 no I agree, but every time it accelerates it looks like the stern is going to flood and probably will one day
@@DenisonYachting Ask these people why every time it accelerates in your film does it look like the stern is going to flood
Wooow ugliest 57 foot yacht out there
