- Hello all and welcome! The folks at Boatstogo have sent me this very unique inflatable boat called the Saturn MC330G inflatable catamaran. For many years now I have both owned and tested many Saturn inflatable models, but nothing like this before. I made the announcement about me receiving this model as a test, and the most prominent question that kept coming up was "Why should I purchase this models instead of a standard inflatable dinghy or kaboat?. The 2 main answers are speed and ease of entry from the water. This pontoon has an elevated floor and remains above the water during travel, while the pontoons keep the boat above the water, making it easier to get into plane and go faster. While a standard dinghy this size would need 15-20hp to catch some serious speed, you could pull it off with a smaller outboard, like a 10hp. I will be testing it with my 6hp Tohatsu outboard, and see how well it gets into plane and the feel of it all. Thank you all for watching.

Thanks for the demo!
😁😁
You're a lovable dork, too. As always a great video. Can't wait for the sea trials.
Hahahahaha!! I accept that compliment!
Thank you for taking the time to make up these videos. I appreciate it and I’m sure everybody else does too one day. I will be getting me a inflatable as well. I’m glad you done the video on the cat really gives me something to think about before I purchase plus I live in a retirement community trailer park and they don’t allow trailers so that shoots my boat idea in the foot thanks again👍🏻
I am glad this video helps. When you're ready, I'll be happy to recommend one that suits your needs, just shoot me a message whenever you'll like.
Nicely done! Love to see her planing on the water!
Hopefully, I'll have that video made next Sunday.
Love your videos!!! Can't wait to see it on the water :)
Thank you! If all goes well, I'll have it in the water next Sunday.
Great Video, Great Presentation! I love this boat, so much room!
Thanks again,
My pleasure! It is quite big indeed.
Loved that yellow cat
Reminded me of bb290 😊
Right? It looked so cool
I see 6x D-rings on the bow : 2 on bladders, 3 on the floor, 1 under the floor. Wonder why so many?
@@boatsandoutboards9070 Several reasons. Tethering yourself to the boat when deep water dives, attaching equipment you'll want in place instead of bouncing around like scuba gear and stuff. I am sure there are other uses.
@@ErickMartinSucreYou're absolutely correct, I use all of the D rings for attachments. They really come I'm handy
@@BrooklynNY1979 I seldom used them, but they are indeed handy to have.
Brilliantly done hermano you are the reason I got into this hobby and I thank you tremendously!! Remember, you want to inflate the bladders a third of the way THEN fully inflate the floor. It makes inflation SOOOO much easier lol. It really is a great boat although I did have issues with getting on plane ( i believe it was something i was doing wrong ). Also, that was my yellow CAT i sent the pictures of on FB, thanks for the shout out!
Yeah dude! I was kinda jealous you have a yellow one. I appreciate you and everyone who shares with me their knowledge. I am better for it!!
@@ErickMartinSucre That's funny, I was trying to get a red CAT because I really liked your red kaboat 😄!
@@BrooklynNY1979 Haha! Yeah, the SK396, that was my first love.
She looks like a good boat ...cant wait to see her on the blue stuff . Keep up the good vids really enjoy them
Thank you so much, Alex.
G’day Eric, I’ve just recently discovered your channel and I’m loving it! Great content, very helpful and informative and you have a great presence on camera.
I live in Queensland, Australia and I’m considering my first boat purchase. I’m a 53 yr old disabled army veteran looking to find a small craft to go fishing in for estuary and bay fishing with the ability to go to some close by islands. It would often be just me and my (large 50kg) dog and one other person.
I have been considering a dinghy but quite like the versatility of the catamaran (cat) for its ease of (bow-less) boarding & the vast amount of useable space.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video (and the first episode when you unboxed the cat).
The information and demonstrations you have provided on this model have helped me immensely.
Thanks for the great content, keep bringing it and I look forward to watching many more of your video presentations.
Cheers
Sean.
Thank you so much, Mr. Sean!! I have a small group on Facebook called The Muddy Feet Oasis, and you're welcome to share your adventures there, plus I'll love to see what kind of boat you get.
Cool Video.. What kind of Outboard motor do you use?? thks
I have a 6hp Tohatsu, and a Hangkai 12hp ua-cam.com/video/Oe6oHNG7JYo/v-deo.html
Looking forward to seeing it on the water. What size motor are you putting on it?
My 6hp, the 9.8hp was sold.
@@ErickMartinSucre When will you be taking it out?
Lord willing, next Sunday
Great video ! Question : do I have to register a 6 hp outboard ???
Depends where you live. Here in FL, you must register the boat only.
I like you bro!!!
Thanks!! 😊
Do you know where i can get those pontoons guards?
Here you go! alnk.to/3ngXJf5
