STAR WARS
It is a period of civil war.
Rebel spaceships, striking
from a hidden base, have won
their first victory against
the evil Galactic Empire.
During the battle, Rebel
spies managed to steal secret
plans to the Empire's

I have a weird obsession with movie logos lol this one in particular
Joshua Bailey Yeh, Same. I have a strong obsession with the DreamWorks Home Entertainment (1997-present), Lionsgate logo and the THX logo. (Tho the THX intro scared me as a kid)
2017: 21th century -FOX- *DISNEY*
Twenty firth?
Now I hate disney

I just wasted 6 minutes watching a logo evolve through time... and I don't regret a single second.
So how was it wasted?
Tom Page ...touché
Tom Page because u cant get those 6 mins back...
Lol, so far I've watched Disney, Dreamworks, MGM, and Universal logos through time XD what am I doing with my life....

Dumb music 4 me
I have no idea why I decided to watch this, but I am not disappointed.
I keep expecting the Star Wars music to come in. That was the most watched FOX video in the house, so every time I hear the FOX theme music, the Star Wars Theme always plays in my head 3 seconds after the FOX theme.
I always liked the "0" on the side it's so unique

WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT TROY
Nate Jones I keep expecting the X-Men theme to come on
According to the wikipedia page for 20th Century, John Williams and Lucas decided on purpose to have the Star Wars theme continue in the same time as this like a continuation because Lucas likes it so much. So for them mission accomplished.
1953 and 2009 best
shantanu yup
omg 2009 was th best
the one from 2009 is coming out
1987 1985 1933 1940 1953 1977 1970 1994 2005 2007 2013 2009 are the best
1979
If Disney buys fox, I hope they will put this intro back at the beginning of star wars movies. That music and logo always built up the excitement that a new installment of star wars was about to start. It felt epic and historic hearing this music, so I assume if Disney owns Fox, they will have the ability to do that. Star Wars movies feel like somethings missing when this logo is not here
lander77477 They will also bring back the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the MCU!
I hope they add the 20th Century FOX fanfare for the Sequel Trilogy and Star Wars Story films.
For some reason I am really going to miss this in front of the new Star Wars films.
But we get the THX!
NO THX
somebuddyx i know right.
Me two
Same here. Everytime I hear this fanfare, Star Wars is the first thing that came into my mind.
When I was little my cousins and I used to say that brown thing at the bottom looked like a Reese cup 😂😂😂
Danni P XD I would say the same thing
Inferno555 Flame22 ikr when we saw it we used to say "there's the Reese cup!"
Danni P when I say it everyone just laughs lol
That's funny
James C. abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890 I don't know
Whenever I hear this it makes me think of the first ice age
J Zidar Do you like Ice Age?
now that Disney bought Fox bellow the lettering will be: A Walt Disney Company
Also it's called 20th century studios now
The 20th Century intro has always been my favorite. The musical score just builds anticipation, especially when they added the strings section.
😊

The present one is actually the 2009 version. Which for me was best version of them all!
***** YES! The 2009 one was gorgeous!
Still prefer the 1953 CinemaScope but the 2009 is still gorgeous
narutopet112 amazing
narutopet112 that's where I was born
I fuckin cried when I watched that one, it's so amazing the sound and video quality just skyrocketed lmao
1953 is the best, sounds are perfect
Matthew Wu 1955 is better 1:43
1994 is LIFE! WHO'S WITH MEH!
I cant believe that 20th century fox is 92 years .
Lazer Peabody me neither
Lazer Peabody don't you mean 82?
O_O MY GOD
Lucario Amethyst There probably going to get the first ever intro back for a few movies
Lazer Peabody Did they have a 50th anniversary logo? Or A 25th? #100 will be interesting.
if the logo was real, it would probably be a tourist attraction
Did you copy my comment?
ok, I don't mind.
Imagine how gigantic it would be because all the buildings around the logo are tiny. That would be a really cool idea but it is very unlikely to happen because imagine the ungodly amount of space it will take up.

I love how before X-Men movies it fades out, except the letter X
I like the 1953 the most, I wish it was still like this.
My favorite intro is from Cannonball Run, when a car chase knocks over the lights, and knocks off the music as well.

what's so great about the cinema scope versions
Elijah Ford Lol, its memories bruh
wuh! how are you on youtube at that age!
One mistake right off the bat I must point out. The reference to "CinemaScope 55" was in use in 1956, not 1955, as the people here seem to think. It was associated with just two 20th Century-Fox films, "Carousel" and "The King and I." At the time, Darryl F. Zanuck and Spiros Skouras were attempting their 'Scope as Todd-AO, a wide screen style Fox would later buy in part was coming into vogue. CinemaScope 55 was intended as a 55-millemeter CinmeScope, rather than the 35-mm 'Scope Fox had been using for three years. The irony of this was that when "Carousel" and "The King and I" were sent to theaters, most of the prints were 35mm CinemaScope anyway. Another twist to this story was that Fox had signed Frank Sinatra to play Billy Bigelow in "Carousel," but the studio wanted to shoot the film twice in 35mm and in 55mm. Sinatra balked and demanded to be paid twice, so Fox replaced him with Gordon McRae.
Wasn't Grandeur 70 in use in the 30's and 20's as well? Happy Days (1929 musical) was the first widescreen film to be produced, and it was in that format. The 70 was a reference to the 70mm format instead of the year. CinemaScope 55 and Grandeur 70 are anomalies to us unlike CinemaScope which is quite well known. I don't know that much, but I do know that Grandeur 70 was an earlier thing that didn't catch on.

Same. I also like that Alien Isolation plays it when launching the game.
finally,an history video that finally has the un-used 1931 fox logo, that was really rare although!
The 1994 intro has remained my favourite for over 10 years, and it'll remain my favourite for years to come by!
Let’s hope Disney doesn’t get their hand on the 21st Century-Fox company.
I hope they’ll restore the fanfare in the SW films.
Francisco Fuentes get real!
Robbie Phillips Well, they own Fox now, everything can happen.
Francisco Fuentes no they haven’t because you forgot about the antitrust policy issues mate takes 12 or 18 mouths to decide while the purchase proposal is pending and the antitrust is blocking when ever it happens or not mate.
Too late
I cant watcha 20thC Fox film without thinking of Ralph Wiggum
Becky Maggie yeah that was amazing
Becky Maggie I still hearing "DA DA DA DAAAA " xD hahahahha
me too
Ralph done the best one
Alien3 has a unique intro with an extended violin at the end to create an eerie atmosphere
Cake Buu Wasn’t Alien3 in ‘93, not in ‘87?
Yeah
When I was little I loved the 20th century fox intro!
This FOX logo is part of my fondest childhood memories of sinking into a movie theater seat and starting hours of fun and adventure with it. It's the best logo of all the other movie studios.
Yay! You included STAR
WARS
HOW LONG OF THE MUSIC WE HAD SCINCE 1953 Oh My Gosh 1:24
1:24 is when it starts
Wonderful fanfare for so many great movies. Thanx for the collection.
If this structure was real, it would be a movie fan's tourist attraction
Facts
Then the theme song played on loop until evening.
They were going to put them I the now-cancelled Fox World in Dubai.
Surprised the one for X-Men wasn't in this.....
Jim B. What about the best one, The Simpsons movie?
There also wasn't The Day After Tomorrow intro..
Jim B. F
I'm curious why they changed the key for the star wars one.
Was it so that it would match the key of the intro chord for the title crawl? If so, why is that the only time they've done that.
thewalrusaurus I think it was just pitch shifted in this video.
The 1985 one changed too
Star Wars was the first time that the 20CF fanfare was used with the "CinemaScope extension" (the bit that plays under "A Lucasfilm Limited Production") on a non-CinemaScope film. George Lucas liked the extended fanfare so much he insisted on using it, and John Williams specifically composed the main title theme in the same key (B flat).
That wasn't the only time like honorableartist said and I think they did for the 1955 version but I think it's from not finding an original video or because of copyright
HonorableArtist it was from bandicam

was there ever a 19th century fox? because i think i saw that in one movie but my memory is hazy about that

Now as a Disney asset, It has been changed to 20th Century Studios. But its iconic fanfare will still remain.
There you go the real one starts at 2009
This is pretty amazing! Thanks for uploading this compilation! INTERESTING TO NOTE THE REAL CHANGE THAT CAME IN 1994 WITH CG CAPABILITY!
I feel the need of being alive by 21st century just to see this thing change in time.
